londonautobroker.co.uk is still live, RDG can you get it taken down?
For anyone who has found this post as a result of a Google search, please read the whole of the thread.
This alleged escrow service is a scam. It has operated under various names. Do not give any of your hard-earned money to London Auto Broker via the website; londonautobroker.co.uk
The email you received from Gumtree recommending londonautobroker.co.uk is fake, as is the website which is made to look like the official Gumtree site (which claims to endorse this scam escrow service).0 -

The Scottish Sunday Mail ( July 15th)"The Judge" columnist ( wwwsundaymail.co.uk) reports a guy from Buckie in Banfshire being scammed for £6000 for a Mitsubishi I 200, The car was on E Bay being sold by a Daniel Gorski. a Polish man supposedly working in Northern Ireland claiming he was returning home and did not require the truck.
The seller claimed that he had set up an "E Bay protection account " giving the buyer £50000 cover should anything go wrong.
Same old story car never appeared Gorski when contacted told the buyer that he had written off the car on the way to Scotland.
E Bay deny all liability and the Bank of Scotland "sympathises" with the buyer but had acted on his instructions.
The matter is being investigated by the West Yorkshire POlice as it turns out the fraud originated there.0 -
