Wow natural family planning (perfect use) is quite effective, I didn't know that.
Also, how do you get 'user failure' of depo-provera?
I wonder what the comparable figures for hormonal contraception + male condoms are?0 -
How exactly do you know what other people think!!
It is definitely true that vulnerable girls who've had difficult childhoods are more likely to want a baby young than those who've had loving supportive families and encouraged to have ambitions.
A baby gives you a role in life when you might never have managed to be successful in any other. You become a mother the 'most important job in the world', and you have somebody around who will love you simply and unconditionally which might be a first for a lot of them.
Its very rarely as simple as 'want council flat, will have baby.'0 -

User failure for depo could be not going for the next injection soon enough. If you wait too long you have to do a pregnancy test before your next injection.
As for a combination, each one would still have the same failure rate as it would used alone so you'd be unlucky to have both fail on the same night but certainly not impossible!0 -

Having been using both for 10 years (nearly 11  ) I haven't had a failure yet. Must be lucky0 -
i doubt travel costs will go up that much, this is in london, so a travel card will only increase by a small amount either going across london or out of london. im going to make an assumption that he already works in central london or that he works in zone 2 or further out and they are not being placed in central london, therefore minimal extra costs. what takes time is train connections and bus connections. when i worked in croydon, because i was coming round from bromley, a journey which took me half hour once i got a car, used to take over 1.5 hours but it was as short distance away
Well we don't know exactly where they are, or how much their costs will increase by. I wasn't saying it was the reason. Just that that is the only possible reason I could think of.
It appears I come from the same area as you! So yeah, I totally get how long the bus journey's, and train ones, together with connection times can take. My journey to and from work, before moving, was an hour and a half each way on a good day!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

I think excessive weight can affect how affective the injection is. And the implant. Possibly even the pill, though I don't know for sure.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

And the pill failed me in year 4 (I was put on it at 13 to regulate my cycle). After that, it didn't fail me for the next 11 years. Then I switched contraception for medical reasons.
My point is your statement is anecdotal. Just as mine is. Facts are the only important thing here.February wins: Theatre tickets0
