Hi all
Yesterdays post doesn't seem to have shown up, so I'll post brief details again. My DD went to the doctors for a routine smear test & due to confusion, Dr took her coil out aswell!!! DD got pregnant, was ambivalent about the pregnancy, had a miscarriage & now blames her self for the loss. I don't get much chance to post on here, what with working a 10 hour day, my lodger, the phone job & knitting, but I try to read the thread even if I can't post.
I'm cooking roast beef with all the trimmings today & will make some weetabix brownies & the weetabix fruit cake today to save me making a pudding every night.
I've stripped all 3 beds & WM is on as is DW & BM, I got absolutely nothing done yesterday as I got 'The bad mothers handbook' from a local charity shop & spent all day reading it!
Big hugs to Moggins, keep strong.
Hester

donny-gal wrote:Hi Afternoon all
Is anyone having the same problem as me with this site today, far too wide for the screen, having to scroll across to read it.
Sorry patience run out (never have much) so ((hugs)) all round and I hope its fixed for tomorrow.
DG
yes same problem here too and it is the photo that is the problem- its very easy to delete either parts (eg photos) or whole posts (if you have posted twice for example) all you need to do is to press edit (bottom right) and you can delete as much as you like.
Another way is to reduce your post counts per page (you can do this in user CP) while you read the rest of the thread in case the poster doesnt delete the photo.
Anyway hi all and particular hugs to moggins. I hope it all works out for you hun and at least you have an army of supporters on here to help you out when you need it:T
Had a busy weekend not much time "in" but today I am just chilling out (the kitchen which is half painted keeps calling me to finish but today I am ignoring it:p )
Hope you all have a great weekend

Well we are back from the boot sale and its is very good, we were able to book a stall, table included undercover for £10.....which is great, talking to various of the stall holders it looks like most of the stuff we have to sell will go very well as its household and in good condition. As long as we clear the rent of the stall and a bit over I do not mind, we can also book from week to week, so if we have too much for our little car we can go the next week on the same stall.
Just had our lunch, ham from Lidl and home made sunflower bread, apple and home made yogurt.
Supper is ready, I just have to cook it, the oven is on remote control so it will switch on, veg and stuffing is all prepared and ready to go.
Right I am off to sort out the back bedroom and turn out more stuff for the boot sale next week...............cheers..............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Hi All,
(((((((Moggins)))))). I'd recomend you print out or save to a cd those things you found on the computer, then do nothing at all until you have spoken to a solicitor, especially concerning the house. Please wait until you know exactly what is what. your OH is obviously not as blame-free as he would have you think, so take your time, see what else comes out of the wood work, then do whatever is right for you and the children.
Catch up day here today, but as I have a splitting headache I'm not getting very far so might just do the "musts" and leave the rest for now.
There is an oil slick on the canal this morning, probably as a result of boats which have been tied up all winter, being started up again just lately. Anyway, all the wildlife has an oily tide-mark across their chests and along their sides. I hope they are all ok when they preen it off their feathers.
I'm not feeding them today as the slick has come to rest right outside. My flat is in what used to be a loading wharf, so the canal is a bit wider here but tends to collect the debris a bit more. It's raining now so hopefully that will clear it a bit.
Anyways, time I got on, might go for a brisk walk to see if that helps clear my head.
Hugs to all who would appreciate one.
Bye for nowMy first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

Gee whizz, isn't it cold.
Went to the car boot sale and nearly got frost bite.
Got a romance novel for 60p and a cd for $1. Csarina what a great buy. :T DH is under the covers right next to me snoring his head off.
The computer is working this arv so enjoying myself surfing atm. It seems to drop off and go soooo slow I lose patience and turn the thing off. It's fine for emails most times but not the best for other sites.
Well think I"ll go and make a hot chocolate and surf a bit more. Having a pasta dish of some sort tonight and making a fruit cobbler for dessert.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Hi,
I haven't posted for a wee while now. I have been reading the thread though and have kept (reasonably) up to date with developments - although the thread does seem to have quietened down considerably over the last week or so.
Anyway, DD has been given a place at our first preference school which means life becomes much easier from September. I'm sure she will thrive there as much as her brother has and will settle in well. Its an excellent school and seems to encourage the best from the students so I'm sure DD will do well there.
Went up to Scotland yesterday to thrash out the final details of buying my parents' house with my siblings. Not overly happy with the outcome (I'm on my own and they are all married with joint incomes and don't seem to appreciate that a single parent with young children will have a (much) lower income than a married couple). I'm happy to help buy my parents some security and realise that I'm also helping to provide an inheritance for me or my children but my siblings seem to have lost the plot and are now planning a major renovation of the kitchen and bathroom - and I'm expected to stump up for that too. It looks as though I may need a second job!!!
Boss is off next week as he's preparing the holiday home for the start of the season so I am officially in charge for a week. I get all the stress and pressure of making sure everything is run normally for the week without any extra financial benefit. Just as well he is a really great boss to work for/with.
My "second job" boss is down-sizing his property so I expect that he will tell me in the near future that my services will no longer be required. Not quite the problem it could be as my "South of France" boss has guaranteed to increase my hours to compensate for it - see what I mean about being a great boss?
Anyway, that's a fraction of what has happened to me over the last week but I'm sure you are all bored by now so I will shut up and go read some more.
moggins I have PM'd you. Hope you don't mind. ((((hugs)))) to everyone else who wants a hug or needs one. You know who you are. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
