Hi Everyone
Not having a good time at work. I almost walked out on Friday.
Started flat hunting again. Seen one which I like, but it's quite pricey, so I don't know if I'll be able to raise the funds. But I'm certainly going to try. Seeing my bank this week as I think they do special mortgages for first time buyers
Not meant to be working today, but I've got to cover. So here I am again. We had a Dominoes pizza yesterday for a treat and it was cheaper than we were expecting - got about £3 off! Did the big shop yesterday for the first time in 2 weeks. Treated myself to a DVD thanks to a gift card I earned online. And we saved money of veggies as someone came into work on Friday and gave me a big box of organic stuff.
Plans for this afternoon include sleeping, and cooking dinner, although I don't know what we're having yet.
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

Morning to everyone on OS today
Had a busy day yesterday, as we have a local dicount shop closing down and I've kitted out my son and niece (both aged 3) with 80 pairs of socks (between them) for £2. Also got them both a pair of summer velcro sandals for 25p each.
Have also been trying to save some money, as things are tight with DH being off work (not well). Managed to put £50 last month, hoping to do the same this month. My DS keeps running round and sounds like a herd of baby elephants! Must go and sort him out. Love to all

Welcome DonnaP
Hello everybody,
I missed the eclipse last night. I was zzzzzzzzbut DH saw it. Had a lovely weekend on the west coast. Truly breathtaking. I can picture myself sitting next to a cosy fire with a glass of wine, looking out on the loch with the mountains in the distance. Pop.
Bubble burst. Back to reality.
Got up early this morning. DH went for a bracing walk while I unpacked and tidied up. Need to put some washing on. I booked for Ireland this morning. We are off there for a week on the 13th. Be there for St Patricks Day so should be good fun.
Off to the car boot sale later this morning for a nosy around. Probably won't buy anything but a nice way to spend a sunday morning. Beats ironing.
Hope you all have a lovely day & (((((((((hugs))))))))))) to those that need them. ByeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Morning all!
We missed the eclipse - we were slumped on the sofa half asleep after a hard day's work on the house! My bath room has never looked as empty or as clean, so now I've just got to make sure it stays that way until Friday. We've also emptied our stuff from our garden - chimenea (sp?), table and chairs, a bench, and a few little gargoyle type ornaments. Our wicker obelisk fell apart when we picked it up so we're going to tie it up and 'replant' it in case the next lady would like it, as we're taking the bird table and that gave the garden some height.
Today we're going to Aldi for some garden bargains, then to my mums to drop off the houseplants for safe keeping while we move, and to see my nephew before he goes in for his op. Then home again for Isaac to have a nap and us to get on with the packing again. It's getting there though!
We might have takeaway tonight...we deserve it and it means less work - and we can start packing crockery.
Hope you all have a good day, and hugs to those that need them.
