Glad your employer took it well...its always a bonus when things go better than anticipated. I can understand why you were worried.

Great news about the amazon voucher, I really don't seem to get a chance to do any surveys at the moment.

    Thanks Persimmon & MCI,

It's a great load of my mind and I definetly feel better for it. I can be far more flexible around school holidays now. I've always done school hours to be able to do the school runs and now I can be far more flexible around school holidays too.

I've overpaid a MASSIVE £2 today after receiving *rgos vouchers for TV surveys.

I've just drawndown the extra availability on our offset - £22500 to enable us to purchase the new building for my husbands work. Our mortgage will now be a massive £111,000 (I know others are bigger but for me this is huge)

Standard repayment should now be about £678 per month, and I am aiming to overpay by £300.

The long term aim is still to get rid of this in by July 2022.

V cheap weekend - £15 under budget on food shopping, but spent £10 on water filter for fridge.

Ordered DD1 bday presents on *mazon, about £40 worth of books & cds for £7 due to survey vouchers. Some of it was for MIL to give her so also got £20 cash from it. Deal!!

Spent most of Sat afternoon listing items on Music Magpie - about £80 to be split 3ways between DH, BIL & MIL.

And most of Sun afternoon listing items on fleabay, most of which will need to be split 3 ways.

Went to dinner at friends sat eve so all in all a very low almost no spend weekend.

Only spend today was £8 for red & black icing and a cake board to make DH birthday cake for friday. Am attempting to make a telephone box! Wouldn't normally make him a cake but he will be 4 x 10 - keeping it quiet as I'll follow him shortly!!!

We were planning on buying hime a real one for this special birthday but with everything going on we decided it would be better to wait for now.

The girls are going to make a huge door sized one from red paper as well.

We've no idea what to get him so thought we'd make him these things instead. Very MSE!!!!

Have just baked the cake while he's out of the way, just need to cut and ice it. Going to freeze cake until Friday though and try then.

Also spent yesterday £11.89 on DD1s birthday pressies - a cd and some flavoured sugar for the candy floss machine my mums bought her.

Made an OP of £41.02 to mortgage. This is £40 from 1poll and £1.02 from WHS surveys.

Has taken current balance back below £111k:T (just!!)

Oh and I nearly forgot the major purchase - a 4x4 driving experience for DHs birthday. yes I know I said we weren't buying him anything - but how can i not for this big birthday!! Hoping to combine it with a weekend away visiting Mercedes Benz world & Brooklands Museum.

£10 S&S *rgos vouchers in post when I arrived home so another £10 OP.

Now going to try out my artistic side and make a door sized red telephone box from paper. (BTW I really don't have an artistic side at all so it could be a real mess)

Good luck with the cake - homemade is always appreciated more because of the effort put into it.

    Sounds great.

    Very spendy but enjoyable weekend.

Meal out for DH birthday - £50 & food shopping £10 over budget at £100 but we did have family round for get together at weekend.

Ebay sales finished at £116 to be divided 3 ways with MIL & BIL & 11 more items listed today.

Music magpie stuff not arrived with them yet so need to keep an eye on that.

Payday this week or it will be if Natwest sort themselves out as both business & us bank with them

I need to transfer money & pay bills but loath to with all these problems. Worried about it going missing.

I've been doing surveys etc now for a year so thought I'd make a record of the total earnings made over that year.

    Toluna - £155
    My Survey - £70
    Valued Opinions - £60
    IPSOS - £50
    gfk - £17
    Shop & Scan - £70
    One Poll - £120
    New Vista - £50
    Cint - £4.39
    WH Smith - £6.04
    Cashback - £67.51
    Rewards - £20
    Music Magpie £14
    Extras - £65

A total of £768.94. Yes it takes a lot of time at the computer but I tend to sit on the laptop while kids/DH watching TV. Some survey sites have not been done for the whole year either.

I also look at the fact that when this is paid off the mortgage it is worth so much more in saved interest.
