Start of the weekend today - and spent most of it packing for our holiday next week!

Spent £60 from food budget for holiday food, cottage is a bit isolated and with it being bank hols needed to make sure we wouldn't go hungry!!

Was only planning on spending £40, then saving the other £50 towards daughters birthday party next month. Even sent the £50 to savings before I went! Never mind I don't like to skimp when we're on holiday as it's only once a year!!

Have saved up £500 for holiday spending money so can spoil everyone rotten.

Planning to go to London on Sunday to see the Thames Pageant, rain forecast but we won't let it put us off. Girls can wear their 'deeley boppers'!

£5 arrived from my$urvey so OP to mortgage.

Have a great Jubilee weekend everyone and hope the sun shines for you.

Had a lovely relaxing chilled holiday and the good thing was it was so remote we only spent half our holiday budget!

Although I have promised the kids a ping-pong table (probably 2nd hand though) with some of the balance as they were so good on hols.

Managed to get to London to see the Flotilla though. Waited for 6hrs on Lambeth Bridge in the drizzle, but did feel we were watching something special which was making history. Definetly something the girls will remember forever.

Just paid £542 which was supposed to be last months standard mortgage payment and Nwest messed up. Also shuffled money from Hfax and overpaid that £10 too.

Managed to do some gardening today, mostly tidying up and planting a few plants we bought while away.

    Back to the grindstone tomorrow!!!:(

Have now ordered the pingpong table - 1/2 price at *rgos, £150 but out of leftover holiday budget so trying not too feel too guilty.

    £9 brownies subs and £6 for DD1s breakfasts at school - 1 a week.

:(I'm dreading tomorrow. After a great deal of thought I am handing in my notice at one of my jobs to work 4 days a week for my husband. I've worked at this place for over 7 years and enjoy it most of the time, but I'm needed at my husbands place more now - so that has to take priority. Just don't think they're going to take it too well - it's owned by a family who take everything personally. I just hope they understand that my family has to come first.

This arrangement will also let me work less during the school holidays as the last few I've felt really guilty about hardly seeing them. It's been hard to take time off a 2 day job so i've ended up working 4 days a week (2 at each job) and only seeing them 1 day. That's not what I became a mother for, I know some don't have a choice - but I do now.

I just know I won't sleep tonight for worrying.:(

Well, have now handed my notice in and it went so much better than expected. She said she totally understood why I was leaving and appreciated me giving her more notice than I needed too. Worrying over nothing again.

Nice surprise today - a £15 *mazon voucher from t0luna that I'd forgotten about - mainly because it was for doing 1 survey and I doubted that I would ever see it. Overpaid it from savings for DD1s birthday and will use vouchers to buy her books or CDs she wants.

Have had double glazing people in to give quote for new french doors at back of house, also asked for prices for windows at front - although this includes a bay so will probably be expensive.
