Also ordered some DVDs on *mazon for hols coming up. £11.92 but used vouchers to pay for so freeeeeeeee! We prefer to be out and about in the evenings if weather half decent but good to have a backup if not.Re-mortgaged 20/04/12 MTiT-T3 No.7Start balance £89611.10 + £22500 = £112111.10/Current balance £85436.53

Very cheap week so far, just £20 spending money for DD1 for school trip to London, but she bought me £10 change back! I'm teaching her well.
Busy weekend coming up - this afternoon I need to take DD2 to an inter-school sports day - a good excuse to sit in the sun to watch and do nothing else. Also DD1 to hairdresser after school.
Saturday need to do food shopping (budget £90), DD2 to gymnastics for 2 hours & roller skating party for 1 hour, DD1 to photo-shoot birthday party for 6 hours!
Sunday DD2 on Brownie trip all day, and DH for MRI scan on knee, both DDs to swimming club in evening.
Seems like everything comes at once. Some weekends we have virtually nothing, other times I wonder how to fit everything in!Re-mortgaged 20/04/12 MTiT-T3 No.7Start balance £89611.10 + £22500 = £112111.10/Current balance £85436.53

I know the feeling well...good luck with all that and enjoy the sun.

Hi MCI,
Just caught up on your diary - your weekend makes mine look quiet in comparison!!!
Enjoyed the inter-school sports day with DD2 - she came away with 2 medals - the only one from her school to do so - so she's really impresed with herself and won't take them off so she's clanking around the house - you can hear her coming!!!
DD1 has had her hair cut, bit grown up - don't think her dad will like it - he likes to keep his girls 'little'. Only cost me £10 though, for wash, cut, blow-dry & straighten so quite pleased.
Enjoy the sun while it lasts.Re-mortgaged 20/04/12 MTiT-T3 No.7Start balance £89611.10 + £22500 = £112111.10/Current balance £85436.53

Yesterdays shopping came in under budget at £74, plus £10 cashback.
Only spent £9 today on a vintage cupcake sign and some indoor fireworks for DD1s birthday cake. Also a chinese lantern to set off for my husbands uncle who died 2 weeks ago. It was his birthday today and the girls wanted a way to say happy birthday to him.
And another £5 spending money for DD2s brownie trip. And she managed to spend it all!! Not as moneywise as her big sister!
Have enjoyed the brilliant sunshine all weekend - DH and I got so much tidying up done in garden. Hope it lasts into half term as we're away:T
:jPayday tomorrow:j £20 left in current account so have transferred that to mortgage.
And so we start again!!!Re-mortgaged 20/04/12 MTiT-T3 No.7Start balance £89611.10 + £22500 = £112111.10/Current balance £85436.53

Great going on the grocery spend - mine has gone out of the window this month - will do better next month.
I bet you are really proud of DD2 - thats a brilliant achievement.
The Chinese Lantern is a lovely idea....
And as far as how busy weekends go...mine was exceptional this weekend and its all relative - we all do what has to be done - just looking forward to spending some time with DH tomorrow on our Anniversary as I haven't really seen him this weekend.
Fingers crossed for the weather...

Payday shuffle completed.
£400 paid to replenish long term savings used to pay ERC. This will be mortgage OP from next month.
£114 paid to holiday pot (odd amount because i need to make holiday spending money up to £500), £75 to xmas pot, £13.75 to car tax pot.
Nwest never did claim d/d for last month so if they don't claim it twice in June i'll send the £542 i've been keeping back as an OP, although I don't count it as one IYSWIM.
MCI - hope you have a more restful week this week with all your celebrations!!Re-mortgaged 20/04/12 MTiT-T3 No.7Start balance £89611.10 + £22500 = £112111.10/Current balance £85436.53

Ummm just spent £45 on new jubilee outfits for DD2, DH & me.
Feeling guilty now just for buying new clothes - we don't buy many and we work hard. Now I feel i'm trying to justify it! But I just keep thinking that could've been £45 off the mortgage.
There does need to be a balance though.Re-mortgaged 20/04/12 MTiT-T3 No.7Start balance £89611.10 + £22500 = £112111.10/Current balance £85436.53

Don't feel guilty, you're right we need a balance and some fun. I bought my DDs new outfits too and can't wait to see them wearing them0

I'm with TwinnyD - there definately needs to be a balance.
Enjoy the new things.
