Hi persimmon - nice to 'meet' you!
After 4 days straight of redeeming vouchers or getting 'free' money to overpay I feel quite let down today!
My little bit of food shopping where I just needed picnic food for tomorrow, some treats for the weekend and some toiletries came to £48.88! This leaves £41.00 for the main shop on Tuesday for 4 days meals. Should be OK.
The weekend away is from our holiday budget and has been fully budgeted for (and hopefully won't go over budget!). We have £150 for spending money - Hotel & Beaulieu Motor Museum already paid for. Should leave us enough to treat the girls if they see something! There is an extra £50 available if necessary but would rather save this towards our main holiday in June.
Hope you all have a lovely Bank Holiday Weekend and it doesn't rain too much!
(And still no nearer to Nwest sorting themselves out!!!)Re-mortgaged 20/04/12 MTiT-T3 No.7Start balance £89611.10 + £22500 = £112111.10/Current balance £85436.53

Forgive me I tell a lie - on checking online my mortgage is now showing along with my current and savings and presumably off-set.
Interest has been added, no payment taken yet so I now owe more than I did 2 weeks ago:(, but have transferred in the £58.96 I had waiting in my OP pot.
I think the standard payment comes out on 5th so should be lower again after the weekend!Re-mortgaged 20/04/12 MTiT-T3 No.7Start balance £89611.10 + £22500 = £112111.10/Current balance £85436.53

Hi Megala and welcome! Glad NWest seem to be getting things straightened out at last!
I have an offset and am also self employed and it works really well for me, as I really appreciate the comfort level of having as much cash sitting around as possible, but knowing it is still working hard for me!
Good luck with everything!Borrowed £150,000 in an offset tracker mortgage in May 2007 - MFD May 2041 (67)

Hi Sepa and thank you for your welcome!
We chose an offset mortgage so we could invest in an industrial unit for DH business but still have access to our savings. This way we're using our savings without actually using them IYSWIM. I need to have some back-up rainy day savings and the house needs some work spent on it as well, so this works well for me.
I've been having withdrawal symptons from MSE after being away, but the weekend away was lovely, although the weather could have been better.
Paid £10 into mortgage today from vouchers which arrived from S&S - very quick delivery. It showed up straight away on the mortgage too.
Nwest show a credit on my mortgage of £542 - my usual monthly payment, but it doesn't seem to have been deducted from either my new or old bank account. Not sure what they're up to now?
Need to catch up later on everyone else's diaries - but I am supposed to be working!!Re-mortgaged 20/04/12 MTiT-T3 No.7Start balance £89611.10 + £22500 = £112111.10/Current balance £85436.53

Todays shopping came in at £43.33 - a massive £1.33 over budget - think I can live with that!
£25 left over from weekend spening money. Will keep £5 in my purse for odds and ends and save the other £20 in pot for a wedding we need to go to.Re-mortgaged 20/04/12 MTiT-T3 No.7Start balance £89611.10 + £22500 = £112111.10/Current balance £85436.53

Morning!
£10 redeemed last night from 1PS0S in *mazon vouchers so paid transferred to mortgage. Will use vouchers for birthdays/xmas as necessary.
Nwest have finally got all my accounts in offset!! Yay!:T Although the direct debits seem to be in a mess, and just had letter from council saying they will take 2 next month instead, so must remember to keep that aside and not think I'm doing really well this month!
Purchase of industrial unit progressing at solicitors rates, i.e. not very fast, but we'll get there in the end hopefully.
Not working today as had to swap for tomorrow, so no long 3 day weekend this week:(.Re-mortgaged 20/04/12 MTiT-T3 No.7Start balance £89611.10 + £22500 = £112111.10/Current balance £85436.53

And on checking online banking Nwest have bounced their own DD!!! I mentioned a few days ago that a credit of £542 (the standard mortgage payment) had appeared on the mortgage but not been debited from either old or new current account. They must have tried to take it from the old one and it has bounced.
They can't even move a DD that belongs to them - I am despairing now!Re-mortgaged 20/04/12 MTiT-T3 No.7Start balance £89611.10 + £22500 = £112111.10/Current balance £85436.53

Not usually up at this time of night - waiting for husband driving home from scotland. Can't go to bed til I know he's safe.
Just made the stupidest mistake though - have spent the last 30mins wondering why the site seems to have gone down as all the entries are dated 'yesterday'. Well they would be wouldn't they. (Can't believe I'm admitting to that:rotfl:!)
Bit of a spendy day as my Olympic tickets cost £200 but DH and kids are so excited that they're actually going so it will be worth every penny. DH has been desparate to take them as it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. He's had an absolutely awful week with a family bereavement so this news has cheered him up a little.
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend and the sun shines for you (would make a nice change!!!)Re-mortgaged 20/04/12 MTiT-T3 No.7Start balance £89611.10 + £22500 = £112111.10/Current balance £85436.53

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
