Have now received both log-in details needed for Halifax and have activated - so ready for me to pay wages in tomorrow and then move back to pay bills.

Still no response from Business Manager, my mortgage is still showing with the business accounts. Back into that work tomorrow so will chase him up.

Received a customer number for log-in for current/savings account but no activation number yet so can't use! Need to be able to log-in by the beg of month so I can keep a close eye on what direct debits are coming out of where so we don't go overdrawn. Also as I am a bit obsessive about checking online balances I don't want to pay wages in unless I can see them!

Expensive week with the children - £30 for Brownie/Guide subs & £47 for DD1 for a school trip. (although it is to see Wicked in London and then a workshop at Pineapple Studios!!) They are brilliant kids though and that's the reason we both work so hard! DD1 even offered to forego the £10 I give her each term for the school canteen to go towards it. She's MSE already!!!:T
Just withdrawn £5 from Paypal from Mysurvey and once that hits the bank it'll be my first OP since re-mortgage.

    Payday today - yay!

I actually do our wages so paid DH to his new reward account, then logged in and moved in to mine, then logged in and moved it to Nwest for bills.

Paid my wages to Nwide to make sure there is some money there in case of direct debits that haven't moved yet.

Received letter from Nwest kindly telling me they have informed Nwide to close my old account when I specifically told them not to! Very annoying and then spent 10mins on phone to sort.

Business manager has finally called me back and will merge both customer numbers, but doesn't think he can let me have seperate log-ins for business and personal which is a pain.

Day off tomorrow, so want to finish staining woodwork in hallway ready for decorator - not very MSE I know but we can't face trying to paint the very high stairwell, and we have budgeted for this anyway. Just want to get it finished - it's been an on-going project for 2.5 years!

Also food shopping to do, we budget £90a week for 4 of us.

Have now received the activation code to get on-line access with Nwest to my current & savings accounts (but the mortgage is still on a seperate log-in with the business!) Transferred over all savings and able to see them credited.

Received phone call from Bank Branch Manager to apologise for the problems. They're all only little ones in themselves but together they're very annoying.

Transferred £5 from Mysurvey into a savings pot to go to mortgage when I can transfer in. Also £400 returned to savings to repay ERC which was added to mortgage. This should have been my mortgage OP this month but need to repay £900 first, so that's May & June's gone too. :(

Managed to do food shopping under budget by 66p!!!:) Although I also spent £8 on an outfit for a friends new baby i'm visiting next week. OH has also spent £20 on a bottle of something for a colleagues 80th (yes 80th!) birthday at the weekend.

Have managed to do some staining to wood in hallway, need to finish tomorrow. Someone coming to measure stairs & landing for carpet in morning - dread to think how much that'll cost me!

Feel your pain on the hallway front! We've been stripping back stairs, moving spindles and repainting! Takes forever! We need to get our carpet redone too so I'll be interested to see how much yours comes to if you dont mind sharing

    Hi Jackies,

Hallway has been on-ging for 2.5 years! But we went right back to bare walls and re-plastered, replaced or stripped all woodwork including 7 doorways, replaced banisters and newl posts as they were rather bodged, and had metal spindles made by local fabricator.

We're now on the downward run, managed to but paint in b*q last night, crown is on bogof. We would normally do painting ourselves but we are really busy at work so going to splash out on a decorator this time. The high victorian ceiling and stairwell don't help either!

Car***right came to quote this morning and I was pleasantly surprised - £575 including new underlay and fitting. This is for quite a decent carpet (£19 per sq/m) on the stairs and quite a large fiddly landing with extra steps. Under what I was expecting so have been and paid for it, although they can't fit it until painting finished.

Even my youngest DD said it would be quite nice to see it finished - that's an understatement!!

    Have a good weekend

Very quiet weekend, think it rained ALL weekend. Good for the garden, but not good for us getting out into it. Although as we didn't go out we couldn't spend any money either!

Toluna vouchers arrived in post so transferred £15 to mortgage OP pot. :T

Nwest still haven't managed to put my new mortgage and current/savings accounts together and offset them. I'm beginning to wonder how much more interest i'm paying because of this.

Another £18 to Brownies tonight for a sleepover and a trip to Warwick castle.

Nwest have STILL not got mortgage and current/savings account offset despite me throwing my toys out of the pram last thursday. I have worked out that i've been charged an extra £7.18 interest so far because of this. When I think how long it takes me to earn this from surveys etc I'm fuming.

I'm giving them until tomorrow, then i'll try pushing them again and maybe start asking for compensation. What's the point in them selling me an offset mortgage and then not offsetting my accounts?

No d/ds taken from new account today, but 4 from the old account - just as well I'd left some money in there to cover this. I don't suppose they'd been given enough notice for beg of month. Wait and see if/when/where the rest get taken from!

On a brighter note I've redeemed £10 *rgos vouchers from S&S so that'll be transferred when they arrive.:)

I feel like all my posts are moaning ones, I just wish other's would do their jobs right in the first place!!!

(Note to self: must have a more positive post tomorrow!)

Hi, and thanks for the welcome Misscousinitt!

And here is my more positive post as promised:)

Have redeemed £10 *rgos voucher from VO - will transfer into OPs when it arrives.

Have transferred £10 from Hfax rewards today

Have realised that i've knocked off 16months from mortgage just by offsetting my savings. Savings won't stay at the same level for the next 2/3 years as we have work to do on the house but after that they should grow. Don't want to update signature with that date though as that would rely on the savings staying the same but it just showed how much it could reduce without any OPs.

Just had confirmation that the surveyor report on the industrial unit is OK and now we are just waiting for solictors to do their bit - so exciting:T

(And Nwest still haven't sorted their little problem but they've had an e-mail blast!!!)

Received £28.96 from Cashback site so transferred to OP pot

Redeemed £15 from Toluna so that'll be transferred when the vouchers arrive.

Nwest replied to my blast and i will be recompensed for missing interest and time & effort - so that should be another OP!

Mortgage has disappeared from business log-in but not appeared in personal log-in! Don't know what they're doing?

:TWeekend has arrived already - don't work Fridays! so a 4 day weekend:T. Need to to a little bit of food shopping tomorrow, then Mum's taking me out for lunch at the garden centre.

Going away on Saturday for the weekend to Southampton, visiting Beaulieu Motor Museum for the James Bond exhibition and the new Titanic Museum. Hoping to see the sea and get on the beach - even if it's only to walk on it in our wellies! We live so far from the coast that it's a real treat when we get there!!
