Payday today - £300 Mortgage OP made bringing balance down to £102006.90 and knocked another month off finish date - now December 2030.

Also transferred £180 into holiday pot, £75 into Xmas pot, £14.25 in car tax pot & £5 into goddaughters savings.

As I managed to work far more hours this week due to girls being away I have also transferred £50 into a birthdays pot ready for a load of family birthdays soon & £50 for a weekend away at end of June.

Also second job payday today - £50 given to girls for spending money on their holiday. They are having a fabulous time away with their Grandma - but I am missing them far more than I thought I would. They're back tomorrow!

I've reduced the food budget to £75 per week for this month to try to fit in a 5 week month. This week T£$c0 online food shop was £71.35, & DH spent £2.22 in a$da this morning so no transfer to holiday clothes pot today.

We also sneaked in a meal at a chinese restaurant last night before girls come home so that was another £31.

Had a conversation we DH this moring during which he told me I was 'tight with money'. I just don't like to see it wasted!

DH has now left to go pick up our girls from their holiday, am really looking forward to seeing them later. It has rained all week for them and the sun comes out today!

Hope the sun is out for everyone this weekend!

What a lovely weekend - spent most of it relaxing in the garden.

We'd bought DD1 a duvet cover for £10 from a market last week in readiness for when we decorate. But then we decided to make curtains from it. It's blue spotty on one side and kind of cath kidstony blue floral on the other. We cut it up into sections, with a large spotty panel in the middle and smaller floral panels top & bottom, with white rickrack braid covering the seams. She did all the sewing herself and is so proud of them. With lining, curtain tape and braid the curtains cost just £25. She now has plans to use the offcuts to make bunting & cushions.

Also bought a small chandelier for her in Dunhelm sale for £24. She's going for a vintagey theme. We've got the builders coming in while she's away with her friend in July to gut it, replaster, new skirting & window, carpet etc. Just hope she'll be able to keep it tidier than she does now.

Only other spends this weekend were flowers for MIL for taking girls away & a paddling pool for DD2 - £20 total.

Sun is still shining through my office windows - long may it last.

Online food shop done - have split it into 2 to gain 2 x £5 off vouchers with T£$c0. Not paying delivery at the mo as on a delivery plan so half being delivered tonight & half tomorrow morning. Will need to do the same next though to use both vouchers.

Went over budget (£75) by £5, but next week should be 2 x £35 = £70 so £5 under. Means no savings to holiday clothes pot though I should be able to stock up on freezer/cupboard stuff next week & save the week after. Best laid plans & all that!

Quiet weekend of errands & jobs etc., but hopefully weather will be nice enough to be outside for part of it.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend and the sun shines for you!

Hi shala_moo - splitting it was all very well but I managed to forget several things and ended up buying them at local shop - £8 later!

£10 voucher received from VO & OPd. It's an e-voucher for *rgos - not had one of these before - hope it works.

Also about £20 missing from availibility on bank that I can't remember spending, it'll be DH or my bad memory. I guess I'll find out in a day or two.
