Hi Newgirly, Tilly, Gally & Twinny, thank you visiting and for your encouragement.

Have OPd a massive £1 from £co this morning!

Food shop went over budget as I had to split shop between T£sc0 & 0cad0 because I wanted to stock up on Wa1tr0s£ bread flour. £41 at 0cad0 including £12 on flour & £43 at T3sc0 so not too wild!!

Just spent £47 in scout shop on DD2s scout uniform and she spent £40 in Dunh31m on a beanbag & rug.

Quiet weekend though now, possible £15 on varnish in diy shop but hopefully thats all as I'm £15 overdrawn for end of month already.

    Payday on Monday:j

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Have just spent £40.10 on train tickets to London to go to Coronation Festival at Buckingham Palace in July. Then mentioned to DH that I'd had an e-mail offering posh picnics at £60 for 2 people which he says we must have as it's a special day out. I think they're similar to the jubilee ones we saw on tv last year but £60!! We'll share it between 4 of us though and we'll have a commemorative cool bag to keep. Yay!!!

I'm determined to give the girls special memories to look back on, they don't get a lot of 'stuff'. I know this is something others have been thinking/talking about as well.

£10 Hal1fax reward OPd - think this is the last one:( & £1 £co payment OPd.

So frustrated with Nwest that I'm shaking - managed to get myself locked out of business online/telephone banking this morning while trying to sort out THEIR cockup - they'd only just sorted the last one.

Still bright sunshine forecast for the weekend and we're off away for the weekend. Cheap travelodge for 2 nights, Mercedes Benz World tomorrow for DHs driving experience, Chessington with Merlin passes Sunday & Brooklands Motor Museum Monday. All free to get in:T.

Food shopping at T£sc0 £69, and top-up at new C0-0p round the corner with a £2 off £10 voucher so no transfer to holiday clothes pot this week. Although DH did treat me to a new top in a$da yesterday.

Hope everyone has a good bank holiday weekend.

    Hi MCI, hope you're well.

Had a lovely sunny bank holiday weekend. DH loved his off-road drive at Mercedes Benz World, DD1 had her first half hour driving lesson while there (£45) and so she didn't miss out DD2 was allowed to ride in the back of the 4x4 (£15).

Visited Chessington on Sun, absolutely packed and hour long queues - to be expected I guess. Had a great day out on Merlin passes - but would be disappointed to pay £120 on the gate for us.

Change of plan for BH Mon - went to Legoland instead. I wasn't keen to go as I thought the girls were too old (13&10) but we loved it. On Merlin Passes again - on the gate would've been £160!

With dinner at hotel on Sat, fish & chips on Sun, hotdogs on Mon, snacks & extra driving lessons the weekend cost £155 (hotel was already paid for at £46) Not bad for the amount we packed in.

Merlin savings so far (incl discounts & free drinks) £131.60 on the gate price or £20.78 online prices.

On mortgage news - standard payment has been made, but interest has not been added yet so not a true reflection. Will update tomorrow.
