Second job payday - £45 transferred to logburner fund - now at £1000. Will start saving for 'accidental' holiday to York in October next. Balance of £40 left in current account to try to stop the leak that seems to have appeared there.

DD1 loved 1D concert, but friends auntie who took them insisted on spending £47 on programme & t-shirt and wouldn't accept her money. Really not happy with that as we don't know her.

£275 balance of en-suite paid. Had to have Electricians in yesterday to sort out bodged electrics (previous bodges in an old house). Dread to think how much that'll cost. Need to now get Npower to come and fit an isolater switch to meter so they can change the fuseboard. Wish me luck with that! They wouldn't change meter last year as it was too high for them - it's just above head height!

DH has just come in asking for £500 to buy a motorbike from his late uncles friend. Apparently bike used to belong to DHs uncle and DH would like to buy it back now it's for sale. Can hardly refuse him as we inherited quite a lot from the uncle.

Actually feel quite guilty as DH was worried about asking me!:rotfl:Am I that bad???

I think it's actually quite nice as he's wanted a bike again for a long time and this is one of his uncles.

Refund of £8 from M*t*l*n back to holiday clothes pot & £10 transferred from being under budget on food shop. Current total - £90.15.

Off to Manchester tomorrow - 150miles away for DD1 to see 1D for 2nd time this week. Collecting my 18year old cousin on way as apparently I'm not 'cool' enough to take her! Dropping DD2 at my aunts (cousins mum) so she can avoid having to come with us. It's close to a big shopping centre so I can see this won't be a cheap weekend! Will take something for lunch but will need to get something to eat on way home.

Tell me about it! At least DH gets all the petrol paid by the business and the tickets were a Sun newspaper promotion at £9.50 each. And she is a good girl who doesn't ask for much, and works hard at school. She deserves it.

Hope she enjoys the concert just as much 2nd time round - I can't talk, I saw Iron Maiden at least twice on one tour a very long time ago...whoops, showing my age.

Had a great day in Manchester DD1 said the concert was even better 2nd time around and we spent a fortune in the shops. Actaully it wasn't that much I'm just so unused to spending.

£30 on Pr1mark on onesies and pressies for DDs, £56 in 8hs on a lamp & cushion, £13.50 in Bu1ld a b3ar for DD2 because she got left at home, £12 to park the car!, £17.50 on a mcds, £45 on a gorgeous pair of mint green converse for me:o & £23 that I can't remember at the mo (it's missing from availibility at bank).

If I spend nothing else this month apart from budgeted food shop we'll be £31 overdrawn, and that's with leaving 2nd job wages in on thursday - I like to at least start the month at zero:(.

Need to make more effort to send 2nd job wages to savings they keep getting swallowed up - and when they're not coming in anymore I will miss them too much. Next weeks has already been allocated to DD2s scout uniform. Then I need to be stricter on saving them.
