    :jPAY DAY TODAY:j

Shuffled money around via H*lif*x to get rewards, then made regular OP of £300 which has knocked another month off - now November 2031. Have now knocked off 6months from finish date in 5months. On target, although a long way to go.

£300 needed for next month off.

Earnt £150 in overtime from second job, most of it went to top up current account because of unexpected extras this month, sent £40 to logburner pot & spent £40 on rail tickets to London for half term.

Forgot to report gym visit monday 9/10 and also last night 10/10. So gym target met:j

Have done on-line food shop, spent £81, so £9 to holiday clothes pot. £29/£250.

Always manage to spend less online as no temptation. Considering trying W*itr0se as Fortune Smiles seems to love it. Have never shopped there before so unsure. The free delivery would be worth it though - I resent paying £4-5 every time. And their current voucher offer would make it really worthwhile.

£10 reward from H*lif*x OPd today.

Interest and regular payment should be added on friday.

New boiler being fitted Thursday so that'll deplete savings by £2420, but i've been saving for it for a while. Don't think the old one would've made it through the winter.

Kitchen ceiling is still not fixed, we can't stop the shower cubicle leaking now. Not willing to get ceiling fixed until we can stop that. Think the whole shower cubicle will need to come out and be re-fitted. A real botch job:mad:.

Interest added today - £281.98, standard payment made of £677. Current mortgage balance £107845.16. We're into the £107s!!!

£200 needed to knock the next month off.

Boiler was not fitted yesterday as apparently the plumber and I had been talking at 'cross purposes' and he'd bought the wrong flues etc to do the job:mad:. I know I told him what I wanted, he'd just hadn't listened! He now wants to talk to DH - as if he'd going to say anything different - that does annoy me. But I'm just too fed-up to argue with him at the mo.

DD1 bought home letter for a school trip to Auschwitz next July - £400. Guess where all my lovely overtime will be going for the next few weeks.

Have placed my first online order with Wa1tr0se, used first £5 off voucher and free delivery. Hopefully will be about £73, so £17 to holiday clothes pot. Although had to pay a visit to *sda to buy several things I wasn't going to pay the price for at Wa1tr0se. Will just take that out of general spends though.

    Have a good weekend all.

£5 *rgos voucher received from gfk today - OPd.

Wa1tr0se delivery arrived with only 2 small substitutions - very impressed. The last 3 *sda deliveries had at least 5 subs, including every time I ordered 3 for £10 meat they subbed 1 of them so I paid full price for all. Cost £71.59 so £18 paid to hol clothes pot.

I like Waitrose food shopping. I have massive food supplies to use up at the moment, so am only buying minimal things (sort of!) May look to go back to Waitrose deliveries when food stocks are at a more acceptable level! :D

£10 *mazon voucher received from 1psos - OPd

Had to take DH to hospital for an operation on his knee at 7am today, am now sitting waiting for him to ring when he comes round.

He was really nervous so have been worrying about him all morning. Just hope he rings soon.

He then needs to rest at home for 2 weeks and not drive either. He is not going to make a good patient/invalid as he is usually on the go all the time. A very trying 2 weeks in store for all of us.

  • Hope OP goes well. He might be quite groggy and the nurses could well encourage him to sleep so try not to worry too much if he doesn't call soon.

Thanks MRN - it is just a day op but we've never really had any experience of hospitals/operations before, only maternity wards. I don't even know what time he was going down for the op.

I left him there at 8am so I could get to work early to get finished early, the nurses said he would ring when he was ready to be collected.

He may well not have even had the op yet... it depends on the theatre lists and the surgeons.
