Hi just posted on June GC but everyone seems to still be here :rotfl:

So heres a paste and copy of a bit of my post -hoping for some advice jumblejack as you have done really well with bacon!!!

I am  with L*dls got there early as really wanted beans/bacon and toms- got 6 four pack of beans (will have to re name this house windy towers!! :rotfl:) but no toms and no bacon on the shelves!!! I asked the guy and he said oh delivery should be here soon- i was too fed up to wait :o

Do L*dls deals start on a Friday? Is that why shelves were emtpy?

My lidl had a really late delivery today. They were expecting it at 7am, and it got there when I was there, at about 11! I was mooching around, NOT putting anything in my box unless it was on the list, watching out for it! Then, there was loads. I got six packs, but was sorely tempted to go back after a$da and get six more. I didn't, which I'm very proud of myself for!!
    *slinking in shamefaced*

Hi everyone - I have not managed to keep up with the thread at all this month :o. Hope you're enjoying the sun:D

:j:jSo ..... have enough to last to the end of the month so .... declaring at £115.70/£130 :j:j (slightly more than the £100 I had been trying for but at least under budget) and the 1st time this year!:o

Hi Rising! You know it's ok to not be here for a while, don't you?! :rotfl:It's not like school, where you get marked as absent! Well done on being under budget this month. I managed it in Jan, and not since!!

I've just done my weekly shop. Stuck to the list, then added on a few stock up things, like beans and bacon in lidl, tinned spag, hot dog saus and generic angel delight (down to 22p) in asda. Oh, and 2kg of gran sugar and some nice squash for me to enjoy on these hot days.

I'm having a rest now and lunch, then I'm going to get on with the housework, which includes doing an inventory of ONE of my shelves in the freezer, with the aim of using that up first!

    Enjoy the sun,

    PG x

Well done on the will power, and what a great idea to only do one shelf freezer inventory, going to copy that one thanks, usually I take the lot out and then get thoroughly fed up with not being able to fit it all in.

So thank you ONE shelf it is.

What a gorgeous day it is up North. I have two loads of washing on the line and am about to squeeze a third on. If it is like this tomorrow I will be looking for things to wash. Did my final shop of the May GC at A*da this morning. Spent 23.04 so I will be under budget by about £10 unless I crack and buy something before Thursday. There is absolutely nothing we need so I am going to stay out of the shops. I am really pleased. This is the first month within budget since November. The difference has been that I haven't been going to the SMs as often and it means that I spend much less. I went to A*da this morning as they have John Fr**da 3 day straight on at 3 for £10. I really like this product and it is normally £7 so I saved £11 and am well stocked up with it. Have a lovely weekend all.

Well done on being under, great feeling isnt it.

Re sliced meat, I havent bought this for so long now that I havent asny idea of prices. It has been so much cheaper for me to cook and slice my own. I do roast pork, beef, chicken, and gammon.
I bought a Kenwood meat slicer, and when I do a roast slice off a fewto have sandwichs or cold with salad or chips.

There is an elec meat slicer in Lidl this week for £6.99 with a 3 yr guarantee!:j

Might pay for itself in stretching meat further and savings on cut meat.
Can also use it for bread if you have a BM

I will be copying it too, I always advise other people small steps but dont seem to be able to follow my own advise.

Got some Lidls bacon today. It will make good sandwiches for pack ups much cheaper than ham. (after being cooked and cooled first)

Lidl had an electric slicer last week that was £40 something  I would have grabbed one at £6.99 ;)

    What a glorious day :j

I had a blind 1st date this morning....just a casual drink and chat....

Now if you are aged 78, why say you are 66???

It's not the age difference I object to (I am 52) just the lack of honesty.

I am beginning to despair of ever meeting a new man who doesnt lie! :(

    Back to the GC....:D

So fed up after I spent £7.14 in Sainsbods on indulgent junk food in an effort to cheer myself up :o:o:o

I have plenty of LO's still LO so they will be todays food.....and possibly a Cornetto or 3.....:rotfl:

    Hi All

Have to confess May was not a good month as I ended up "borrowing" some of my GC money for other things , mind you I suppose it was good I still had some money to borrow against:rotfl:

So I think I will say that I spent my full quota of £200. As I got paid this week will now go off to post on the JUne GC.

    Good luck everyone
