This is absolutely stupid stopping selling them. You can't get a more environmently friendly product, and even more so when they are used by another family.
  • You have to email back to ebay stating what they are. This is when ebay will review your item. I had a case of a competitor who kept on reporting my auctions and they were just getting pulled so I mailed ebay to ask them why they had removed my listings. I included the reason that they had given me for puling them. I got a response back stating that they were wrong and I was allowed to relist the item. I have not had any listings pulled since.

This is all very interesting, but it's not a purely Old Style subject. LOTS of people use reusable nappies, and plenty of those use ebay too.

So I'm going to move this one across to our ebay board.

I'm still not clear on why they have stopped selling them? From what I can see from the comments page link it's mostly just one brand & looks like a competitor getting auctions pulled, not an ebay decision? The petition looks like it is to do with ebay.com not the UK site?
Given that ebay have just lost a very costly legal case with J K Rowling for selling fakes, surely they should focus on stopping the illegal items, or even consider stopping selling of used car seats & cot mattressess which have reasonable safety concerns rather than something like this?
TBH until I see them pull the auction catagory I'm not at all sure it isn't something being blown out of proportion.

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

I have signed the petition too. I bought lots of cloth nappies from ebay before I decide which ones I really liked. I also sell the nappies, wraps etc as ds grows out of them to recoup some of the money that I spend. This then finances the next lot of nappies.
Will be gutted if I can't buy/sell nappies on ebay now.

hiya everyone :hello: i just discovered this morning after reading someone else`s post that ebay have decided to stop allowing the sale of used reusable nappies  many many moneysaving old stylers since time began have used reusable nappies as at one time thats all there was..there was no choice. todays parents use reusables as not only is it money saving it is also a very green thing to do by saving the landfills being choked up with plastic nappies that take an eternity to decompose and also because it is by far the cheapest way to buy/use nappies. buying second hand nappies gives you a chance to try different brands cheaply and find out which brand/size suits your child cheaply.
ebay have decided to stop allowing the auctions of used reusable nappies because somehow it comes under the category of used underwear now
if you could spare a few seconds i would really appreciate it if you could sign this petition to try and save us the option of buying used nappies if we so wish!
    many thanks...angchris

Ok, while i understand what you mean, I personally wouldn't want any baby of mine to have USED underwear even if they were washed etc. I would rather buy brand new. And I have to agree with ebay on this one, that it is used underwear.

It's a shame they don't put time and effort into stopping outrageous ticket touts instead of nappies!
