ebay stopping reusable nappies being sold...ridiculous decision!!

Sorry it's a bit long, but 1 of my auctions with less than 10 minutes to run has been pulled for containing "Adult Material" in breach of ebay's policies. I believe this is a revenge attack because I reported someone yesterday for stealing my entire listing and photographs. It was my highest bid on auction and was up to £33 last time I looked with 14 watchers.

I have included the entire auction description (the photo's haven't shown up on my screen, but they are only of kooshies nappies, nothing offensive. Would be grateful if anyone could pick holes in it and point me in the direction of the offensive adult material so that I can relist it without it getting pulled or me being suspended. Thanks in advance if anyone is willing to help.

PLEASE LOOK AT ALL THE PHOTOGRAPHS THIS IS A MEGA BUNDLE AND WILL LAST YOUR BABY THROUGH THE FIRST YEAR. VERY ECONOMICAL, AS EASY TO PUT ON AS A DISPOSABLE, AND NOT TO HARD TO TAKE CARE OF. THE AVERAGE COST OF DISPOSABLE NAPPIES FOR THE FIRST YEAR IS ESTIMATED TO BE AROUND £800. EVEN TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE WASHING COSTS USING RE-USABLE NAPPIES CAN CUT THAT COST BY AROUND 75% (even more if you but pre-owned!). SO SAVE YOURSELF A FORTUNE AND HELP THE ENVIRONMENT TOO!

19 Used Kooshies (Kushies) Nappies (10 white, 9 unisex coloured/patterned), 8 Booster Liners, 100 Disposable One Way Liners (to catch the solids!),2 Waterproof Wraps, 3 Plastic Pants, and 2 Kooshies Long Sleeved Plastic Bibs with Pockets (For when your little darling has an accident at the upper end!!) See photo's below

Please bear in mind these nappies have been used, and do have some fading due to regular washing. There are also some nappies with very light marks inside (as you would expect!). These nappies have been treated as per manufacturers instruction since the day I had them. This prolongs the life of the nappy, and there is plenty of life left in them yet.

Pre soaked in bicorbonate of soda prior to washing (you can use a specialised nappy soaker, but it's more expensive!).

Washed in non-biological detergent.

Washed at 60 degrees.

No fabric conditioner (affects absorption)

Never tumble dried, or dried on a radiator (this shortens their lifespan).

Made with 8 layers of 100% soft cotton flannelette. The built-in flap allows many features besides quick drying. Using Booster liners increases absorbency for longer periods such as night sleeps. Waterproof wraps are not always used but if required, do ensure the nappy does not leak. This is the longest lasting of the Kooshies nappy range. A fixed waistband with Aplix (velcro) fasteners provides for a snug fit. For new-borns, it is best to cross the tabs over each other to reduce the waist and this accordingly reduces the leg opening. (It does state that these nappies are from 4kg-10kg, however by crossing over the tabs at the waist I used them from birth on my 3kg baby with no problems or leaks).

This package would cost around £170 new, so grab yourself a bargain.

8 booster liners, these fit into the specialised flap to make the nappy extra absorbant at night etc.

100 disposable one way liners to catch solids! These can be flushed down toilet with contents!

    I thought it was me!!

I could understand if the nappies were to fit an adult and I was in some sort of fetish market! But with the best will in the world if your over 12 months old they won't fit!

Am 100% convinced it was a revenge complaint was a 10 day auction and was pulled with less than 10 minutes to go. Was quietly confident I'd have hit the £50 mark as I had so many questions and watchers. Was my highest priced auction too!

I've got a feeling that it's because you made a point of saying they are used.
There are instances of people selling "soiled" nappies on Ebay and I think that's why your listing was pulled.
It's just another case of Ebay not doing their job and not reading the listing before pulling it

yep. soiled/used under garments are not allowed on ebay.
someone must have complained. ebay doesnt have the time or manpower to watch all auctions.
but ebay should have read the listing first. par for the course for fleabay.
    Get some gorm.

I think the above is your problem. Unbelievable that someone has scoured your listing, twisted the context and reported you for revenge. Shocking!!!

How do I get around that? They are used and some do have marks (barely visible but they are there), and I don't want someone to buy them and then leave bad feedback because they are not perfect.

How about if I change the wording to:-

These nappies are pre-owned and freshly laundered ready for their new owner. They are in very good condition but are not perfect due to the nature of their function, and there is some fading due to regular washing.

    Would that be ok?

http://forums.ebay.co.uk/search.jspa?objID=f7&q=nappies check this page out for info on why your auction was pulled. i think its wrong as the whole point of using reusables is that they are reusable and i think rather than helping to promote being green and reusing things they are going to help contribute to our countries landfill problem  please can everyone who agrees with selling used reusables sign the ebay petition against this stupid decision http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?clothdpr i am going to post this petition on the green board as well so hopefully will get more people signing :j

    I just signed!

Had a quick look through the info link you sent too. Are loads of people selling used reusables I didn't realise it wasn't allowed!
I think I'll hang on to them until they change the rules, although there are still loads listed.

well done for signing :T :T yes there are still loads listed very odd why they would pull some and not others  i`d stick em back on and change your wording maybe check out the other ads and see how they have worded theirs?? seems a shame not to get some money back on them and have them sitting in a cupboard for a year or two. i really do hope ebay change their mind on this pointless decision!

Have just rescheduled them, have taken any reference to marks or nappies out and just referred to them as Kooshies throughout. And have added they are laundered!
