But where is the line drawn.
Will sellers of trousers and skirts have to declare if they went commando whilst wearing their items too, as that *technically* would make them used underwear too?
It's all madness. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
Ebay are classing them as used underwear and by withdrawing used cloth naps, they 'hope' to deter the peadaphiles.
They have also started taking other random brands of the listings, not just US makes now.
A few people on a forum i go on have had listings pulled for Weenotions, Tots Bots etc.
If they are going to enforce this rule, why is the 'used' option still available for when selling nappies and why are they not pulling all the listings? Someone had a few nappies listed and only had one pulled?
If it werent for forums and ebay, I wouldnt have been able to buy cloth nappies. Theres no way I would have been able to afford £200+ for a BTP set in one hit.0 -

everyone is entitled to their own opinion and i fully respect that, what i do disagree with is ebay forcing their opinion on grown adults that are perfectly capable of making informed decisions about what we should and shouldnt buy for our babies. if we want to buy used whether it be for enviromental reasons or because we are watching the pennies then we should have that option surely.proper prior planning prevents !!!!!! poor performance!Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat moneyquote from an american indian.0 -
angchris wrote:hiya everyone :hello: i just discovered this morning after reading someone else`s post that ebay have decided to stop allowing the sale of used reusable nappies  many many moneysaving old stylers since time began have used reusable nappies as at one time thats all there was..there was no choice. todays parents use reusables as not only is it money saving it is also a very green thing to do by saving the landfills being choked up with plastic nappies that take an eternity to decompose and also because it is by far the cheapest way to buy/use nappies. buying second hand nappies gives you a chance to try different brands cheaply and find out which brand/size suits your child cheaply.
ebay have decided to stop allowing the auctions of used reusable nappies because somehow it comes under the category of used underwear now
if you could spare a few seconds i would really appreciate it if you could sign this petition to try and save us the option of buying used nappies if we so wish!
many thanks...angchris

I think it was possibly my post you read, I sent a lengthy email to ebay asking how baby's nappies could be construed as "Adult Material" when they clearly only fit a person up to 22lb in weight.
Their response basically said that they strive to keep ebay a safe place, and that the nappies are classed as used underwear, and as such have no place on ebay as there have been instances of soiled undergarments being auctioned!I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Any used item I buy is always washed when I receive it, no matter how clean.
And while I wouldn't personally buy used knickers or pants for my children, re-usable nappies which have to be washed at a very high temperature would not be a problem for me. Knickers and pants cost a few pence compared to the cost of re-usable nappies. But that's just me and I accept that people have their own opinions which they are entitled to.I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.
