I haven't read through the entire thread but was wondering if I have got this correct? Although I am with Sky at the moment and I am not tied into any contracts I could phone them and get the full package for a year for £21.75?
Can someone please tell me if I have got this totally wrong?0 -

You can't just get it slashed in half....it is only open to freesat or disconnected for more than 12 month....ppl are canceling and ringin freesat but some ppl are getting chaged full price when sky clock they have 2 a/cs....I canceled in dec but still got it got it confirmed 3 times and recorded the convo.0 -

Do you have to be getting freesat or have already got freesat?0 -

It looks to me like this deal is dead in the water.
I called sky and cancelled my account this morning. Now I will have to call back and uncancel.
I read the latest posts on hotukdeals.com, and it looks like sky have put a stop to abuse of this offer.0 -

If that's the case the offer didn't last long.0 -

We have sky + (used alot!) and I wan't to take advantage of this deal.
If I am succesful and I get my new viewing card, when they pair it to the box will I loose my programs from the box? (a possible disaster)
Thanks
I've taken up the offer and this is exactly what I'm worrying about too so if anyone knows the answer I'd appreciate it.0 -
I just called to get this deal.
They immediatly clocked that I was a sky subscriber with a pending cancellation when I gave my postcode.
When you call, what exactly DO you have to tell them to be able to get this deal?0 -

All i said when i called is "I would like to quote free trial" and they just processed my details try and keep them away from sussing you have sky.0 -
I've cancelled, if they don't honour the 6months 50% they already offered I'll just can it and go Freeview PVR.
I had a bloke on the phone today from Sky desperately trying to convince me that £10 for the SKy+ charge is good value, he couldn't get his head around the fact that it cost them nothing to allow me to record to the hard disk so I couldn't see why they charged me for it. A-holes.0
