U should have a 14 day cooling off period anyone had any probs...I cancelled in dec and waiting for my card i don't wanna be stung.

It's the 6 mix, no sports or movies, so it's the full price.

Looking at the T&C's you're covered by a cooling off period if you order goods from them. If you just order a subscription (which is a service, not goods so is treated differently by law), you can only cancel before you activate the card.

card came today, cobbled together a phone extension, phoned sky to activate and all sorted in 2mins, i asked about sky+ activation and the guy said make sure all the channels are working then give us a ring later.........two hours later........... phoned to activate sky+, got a far too inquisitive woman who had to pair the box with the card, "you're not down as having a sky+ box" "urmm, just bought one :rolleyes: " "ok then, lets look at your account, your deal finishes today" "urmm, no its only just started..... by the way how much is HD" which threw her and she then said its all sorted and jumped into sales mode.

right at the bottom of page 11, bluey9 posted an offer that they'd been told about by a sky rep, 33% off any subscription for a year with free box/dish & installation.

Seems a fair deal to me if you wanted the whole package, if you weren't interested in movies or sport then it would be false economy !

Can I just ask....those who have activated the card through a phone line, did they give sky their correct phone number when they rang originally to get the deal? Many seemed to have given a wrong phone mumber and I wondered how this worked when they activated card??

my card arrived yesterday, and i asked to confirm that i was on six mixes with 50% off which is £10.50 for 12 months, which the nice women did, and it only took 2hrs to download from the sat to my box, ahhh stargate again

Got my card this morning...phoned to acttivate was told price of £43 which i said was incorrect and should be getting half price...he went into the system and confirmed 50% off for 12 month...always make a note of the time and date of the call and the advisor cos all calls are recorded

I have Sky and Sky+ but aren't tied into a contract. Does this mean I could cancel and apply for the 12 months half price deal through HDTV?

If so what do i need to do?

I just rang the number and got straight through!.I gave my original name address and postcode and phone number but one digit out.He did say it needs to be connected to your phone line.oops gave wrong phone number! At present I have sky multi room.So I,ll lose the use of my box upstairs.My contract for 12 months has expired but Im still on subscription paying £53.50 a month.He,s sending the new card in the post.I was very nervous it was my first call! I had no problem whatsoever.now I need to cancel my sky subscription.really worried in case it goes wrong.but worth a try to save money.
