Evening all and special hugs to all who need them especially the lovely moggins

Well the computer piskies were at work here and i have been without the internet for ages which has meant that i've had to live in the real world - it's horrid out there

dd was passed fit for surgery on wednesday and the op was a success. she had grommets fitted in both ears but her adenoids had not grown back enough to merit them being removed. The glue was so bad that the surgeon came back after the op to have a go at me for leaving it so long. When i explained that she had been having her hearing tested every three months for the past four years but that the results were not being passed on to the hospital he was really really nice and said only to go through him from now on and that he would write to my gp asking that we be referred straight to him. We don't think that the grommets will stay in for long enough as her eardrums are very thin and scarred but she can instantly hear! its amazing - she keeps telling me off for shouting but that's cos i'm used to having to bellow. she has also discovered that mummy f*rts - i've been getting away with it for years :rotfl:
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    Good Evening All

Not posted yet til now! Sorry - been a busy(ish) day.

OH went to his parents house this morning, as the buyer of my old settee I sold, was due to collect it. They did - and they're really pleased!
I got the kids ready for their wk end with their dad. They left at 2pm. DS was going to a friends party this afternoon.
Ive sorted out bags of stuff, and put in piles to pass on to people & a huge pile Ive listed on ebay. Still got more to do, but since their sell page has changed, I think its got slower!
Ive listed more card/craft toppers also.
OH sorted the under stairs cupboard out.

My persain cat, is not very well, he's been under weight for some time now, vet wasn't too concerned, but now (amongst his fur) I can feel all his bones!
He's been off his food last week or so, he normally has Iams meat & dry, but no matter what meat/dry we gave him, he turned his nose up at it! We even opened some tuna/salmon for him, he had a nibble, then walked away, same with cooked chicken, beef & lamb, so its not as if to say we're not trying!
Im getting concerned now. He's 11, and my big baby! I will call the vets for over the phone advise, first thing on Monday!

DS came back from his dad's last night, with a birthday card & cake brought from Tesco, at least he made the effort for him

I told him this morning ref his school placement! He was so excited! Bless him!

My mum told me this morning that my hairdresser is packing up doing mobile. As she did mum's hair last night! Im gutted, she never said anything on Monday when she was here! Ive been using her for the last 5 and a half yrs and I find it very difficult to build a relationship with hairdressers. Im fussy!
At least I have 5 or 6 weeks grace to find another one.

Right, best be off and catch up on todays news with you all
    Bye for now
    Love Emma xxx

Don't know how fit you all are csarina but would it be cheaper to hire a box van to move such short distance? You could make many trips for a day or half day hire?:confused:

Just catching up with last night's posts and todays!

((((hugs)))) to Moggins - Im so sorry for your news! I hope and Im sure you will come through this! Doesn't matter what you have or haven't done, your not a cow! He is your husband, and he should support you through this and at least be there for you! Perhaps the break away for him, might ease things in his mind! Lets hope he comes back in a more positive attitude!

Topher - good to see you back, wandered where you bin alately!

clairfun - well done onyour exchange!

Well done pen-pin in asking for compensation back, finger's crossed for you!

dlb shame about footie result, but at least you all shown you meant business by playing by the rules! Hope the a&e injured are ok!

lil-me I try and avoid shopping in our town on a saturday! And try and leave the supermarket shop till early Sunday. I hate shopping best of times, let alone when its busy!

csarina totally agree with donny-gal if would be cheaper to hire a small van, and get as many "hands on deck" to help on the day! You can go at your own pace. I moved 79miles, and hired a luton van, I had help from my dad & uncle, who drove the van for me, plus friends on the day to help load/unload! It worked out much cheaper! I would never put my trust in any removal company!

Phew! Think I've come to the end of the thread! I bet you'll all be in bed now!

Hope to go to the car boot in the morning, if the weather is dry! Then straight onto Mr T's for the shop!

General clean around, and catch up with the washing and finish listing stuff on ebay!

    Bye for now
    Love always

    Huge hugs to you (((((Moggins)))))

You have been a massive inspiration to me since I joined this thread and I only wish I could say something helpful. I do think that you should be careful not to lay all the blame at your own door but That's the sort of thing I would do too. Once the shock of his outburst wears off a bit I hope you can sit down to talk it through. Relate works and I hope you can persuade him you belong together if that is what you want.

Lots of love to you and hugs to anyone else who needs them.

I'm still here :hello: hope the kitty is better soon Emma, sounds worrying.

As for the shoping, got this microfibre sweeping thing, well it's useless, if it bends the wrong way the whole thing unscrews and falls to bits, where's that duck tape!!! Got a new rack on wheels thing which I shall attempt to build tomorrow :D Oh and found some Starclen aswell, been looking for it for ages and they stock it in the Home Bargains that's just opened up here :Dbloomin' ended up spending £30 in Home Bargains of course, oops :o too many bargains Got DS2 a shark towel and DS1 a shark one which they love, 2 fave things :) Some new baking trays as had a whoops with one of mine last week and set it on fire. Few other things aswell, inc for my friends baby box :o can't resist baby things.

stefejb - pleased to hear things went well with the op etc, have been wondering if that was why you weren't online, never thought of those darn pixies being at it again! Welcome back to the safe world, you're right that real world is highly over rated! :rotfl: Mammy farts, my Gran used to deny hers imagine my Dads horror at 9 when a woman did one at the bus stop, well my Gran always said he just jumped up and down shouting 'they do fart I knew it' :rotfl: Couldn't blame the dog/youngest child after that one.

Well boys are asleep, I'm in shock too as it's before midnight, but suppose that just means be up earlier through night and in morning  oh well can't have it all. DP called in for half an hour, he's got an upset tummy, I've been feeling iffy too, hope it wasn't those sausages! Did him a coffee, he's took some tablets with him aswell just incase. He's out tomorrow if he's better but not until after 11 so don't have to get up early to make his food :D relief! Left at 5am last time!

Think I might have a nosey on ebay and the local free ads website, thinking of buying fridge/freezer second hand instead of new.
One day I might be more organised...........

Wish we could but at 63 and 73 its not really a goer......apart from which our settee has a metal bed in the base and we are on the first floor, the bed also is not easy nor the fridge freezer, so removers it has to be.........it cost us £300 when we moved here from round the corner, GW this will be our last move, I have just finished dismantling the sewing machines and packing them in their boxes, it will take me at least a week to sort out the back bedroom and get evrything away in boxes. Its really the heavy stuff, glass and china which they are packing......I have a lot of crystal, if it gets broken its their insurance not mine that will pay for it.

I am off to take some pain killers, my fibromyalgia has kicked in as it always does when I am under stress.........all my joints ache and the pain in my hips well there is a saying ..............but I cannot repeat it on here!!!!!!! might offend someone.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Evening to anyone still up.

Moggins - I'm so sorry to read your distress. Huge hugs to you.

Stefjb - So glad your daughter is through the op safely.

Congratulations to all who have got their kids into their school of choice - It's 2 years since I've been where you are and I don't envy you one bit!

It's nice having dh working from home but I can't get on the internet as he's continutally picking up emails.

I've had a busy few days. Got a lovely blanket box from a nice lady on freecycle. It's made my airing cupboard much less crowded.

Went to a nice church service for worman's day of prayer yesterday. All ages were there it was really special.

It's baby girls birthday tomorrow (where has a year gone) so I've been baking all evening. I will ice the cake in the morning before church. Hopefully the icing will have set by lunchtime. It was this day last year we made the offer on the house. Very stressful at the time - no wonder I went into labour :rotfl:

    Wishing you all sweet dreams.
