Morning all! Been raining overnight, but today is forecast fine, so a day in the garden plannned. We evicted the hens from the polytunnel last week, so we'll be in there fluffing up and watering the soil, ready to plant some early potatoes, carrots, peas and beans. Want to order a potting bench, too, to make it easier to start off my seeds.

Topher - good to see you back, hun.

Blairweech - hope you can work things out.

Moggins - hugs for you, too.

Skystar - good luck, you might need it!

DLB - hate it when that happens  The other team must be pretty scared of yours.

JackieO - have a great time in Paris  , though it looks as if you may already have left.

Off to start a batch of minestrone for lunch, and some banana muffins.

Have a great day, Penny. x

    Morning all!

    Hugs to (((moggins)))
JackieO, hope you and your grandson have fun, we went there a few times when my nephew was younger but I haven't been for about 10 years. My son is two and a half so I'm just counting the days! :-) He so far knows the Lion King and Nemo but not really many of the others so we'll wait till he's more familiar with it. OH has never been - Dumbo was the only Disney film he saw as a child - I have gradually been educating him!

I HAVE EXCHANGED! At last! So thank you for all your crossed fingers - I'm sure it was that that made it happen.:T I move next Friday so am turfing the boy over to Grandma's again today, he's already excited. Or, at least, he's a big dog (so he says).

Unsurprisingly I will mostly be packing this weekend, with some tidying and cleaning thrown in for good measure. I'd like to pop to the nearby Aldi at some point - I've not been there yet but my mum says there's some good garden stuff for cheap. Tonight we're having dinner at my mother in laws - a more 'usual' dinner than skystars though! :rotfl: Great Grandma will be there too so I expect she'll enjoy Isaac climbing all over her and talking nineteen to the dozen...:o

    morning everyone:)

after my completely rubbish two months and falling off the dfw wagon, i am back to basics:)

    Jackie O - Have a wonderful time
Moggins - Stay strong, thinking of you.

This morning i have a busy time scheduled. Will be doing huge amounts of washing and ironing, so that all uniforms etc will be ready for monday.

Im planning on doing a bit of baking/cooking today but really need to check out the fridge and see what needs using up. Im thinking something along the lines of a roast tonight or tomorrow and i want to make up a big post of chilli too. It will be a use up month i think. Freezer is full to bursting.

Hope you all have a good day and hugs to all that need them

Thanks for all the hugs, they are really appreciated. We really talked last night and although you all think I'm wonderful :D I can now see exactly where he is coming from and wonder how I could have been so blind and stupid. He is right, I do have control and trust issues (mostly down to my godawful childhood) but I've put him through so much that he won't change his mind. I pleaded with him this morning to give me just two months to make the changes I need to make to me, to go back to the doctor and get back on my happy pills and to seek counselling for both us and myself. By the way he's been avoiding me since though I think the answer is no. He's going off to his parents in Shropshire for a few days.

As a family we have so much to lose if he goes and I don't think I realised how much I love him until last night and how much he does support me in day to day life. I've been such a cow and I deserve everything I get now :(

  • (((((hugs))))) to those who need or want them this morning.

Am about to start on the huge housework pile that has happened this week. Kids are hopefully gonna get off their bums and help a bit today too.

    take care everyone xx

Edit- Moggins - Ive just read your post, just remember you are only human, we are not perfect any of us, but I'm sure you are a lovely person. We all know men are different to women, he has probably been bottling things up instead of talking his feelings through. Give him the space he needs and hopefully he will realise what he will lose if he does go. Good luck in whatever happens mate, we all think you are great and deserve a happy life xxx

    Havent read yesterdays thread sorry!

Got up at 3am   Had fell asleep just gone 9pm (missing ugly betty :( ) so was wide awake... gave up trying to fall back asleep about 5am..

So watched some tv, had a shower etc, tidied the kitchen, washed all the dishes, put a load of washing in, cleaned the cooker (), emptied the bins, made my lunch and cleaned the bathroom! All before 9am on a saturday! :rotfl:

In work at 10am-6pm and had a heads up off management last night that as the wagon broke down on thursday night we will be getting double delivery this morning so have 16 pallets to work through.. (usually have 7-8 a day and thats tough) coupled with saturday being our busiest day of the week....know that today will be a long tiring day.. probably with tears and tantrums. Someone pass me a coffee?! :coffee:

Anyway just going to check how much a single ticket to work is (dads gonna pick me up tonight so dont need a return :j ) and then pop off to have another cuppa and a quick relax before leaving for work.

    ((hugs to everyone))

    Morning all!

Getting my MSE fix out of the way bright and early, so that I can get on with all the jobs for the day! :o

Got a Tesco outing planned as I have a few high value vouchers that expire in the next couple of days. Watch me get a snotty cashier with a thing against vouchers!

Also need to post a book. Sold one on www.greenmetropolis.com which was a pleasant surprise.

Little one is waiting patiently downstairs watching Dora, so I'd better get a wriggle on and have a wash. :o

Best wishes for the day ahead. I hope you get everything sorted out for the best, Moggins. You've inspired loads of people over here with your routines and good advice. I'm sure you'll be able to get through this and everybody on here will be there to listen when you need somebody. xx
