    Morning :hello:

((((((((((((((((moggins)))))))))))))))) Was going to say what PP said! Lately you have been mentioning more and more selfish things that he's been doing, and occasions on which he has belittled or undermined you, or undone things you have worked hard for. I know I have only heard your side of the story but hun, to be perfectly honest it doesn't sound like you're the unreasonable and controlling one ;) If there's anything I can do from this end, please let me know.

Went out last night, met up with a friend who is afraid his job is in jeopardy, I can't say what he does as it is so specific that it would almost pinpoint exactly who he is, but let's say he's been in the same career for 20 years and there are only about 50 positions he is trained for in the whole of the UK. He's currently the sole wage earner for his family as his self-employed wife has found the work drying up lately. He has a big day on Monday which could tip the balance either way, hope he does OK.

    JackieO enjoy Paris :j :j
Blairweech glad it sounds like you're working things out with OH
    clairefun congratulations!

I'm just enjoying my usual weekly date with Saturday Kitchen, but will be off to the market for fruit and veg when it's finished. My dad is coming over later to collect a suitcase full of old stamps and postcards some from the 19th century, which were part of my late Grandpa's collection, which Mum brought down to me last week as Dad has offered to have them valued and put into auction.

Desperately need to do some housework today - general decluttering, de-greasing of kitchen (have had 2 sausage butties since buying all those lovely bangers and the hob is now drenched in oil) and general going-over of bathroom. And yikes - my PC bluescreened when I first switched it on this morning, so I think it might be on the blink - therefore I need to work out how to use the external hard drive I recently acquired, to do a proper backup.

    Rzl xx

    Hi everyone
MogginsJust read yesterday's and today's thread and was shocked by your news. Please stop blaming yourself.
I seem to have quite a few friends who are, or have been in your postion. Their partner's reasons have been a selection of 'I'm just not happy', 'You're no fun anymore' ,'You've become boring' etc.
In most of these relationships there are young children and it has been left to my friends to pick up the pieces and get on with everything whilst their ex-partners have either gone off with someone else or spent their half of the money on a motorbike or a flash new car. It seems so unfair on the female and the children as they don't have a choice while the bloke has loads!
Perhaps some time apart might help you both. I really hope so, take care.
  • Morning Guys!

My new laptop has died and bluescreened on me this morning. OH tried all the normal and advance stuff and wasnt having any of it! Friend luckily is in London today so has picked it up and is going to see what he can do. Worst case scnerio is that he backs up the hard drive and wipes it. I have everything on there:mad: ...I am using OH's computer ATM. It is still under warranty but if they take it, they wipe it straight away and I have soooo much that needs keeping. Loads of personal letters, clients stuff and I havent backed up for ages:o ....anyone know what the best way to back it up is..once I get it back?

Anyway, WM is on with uniform and other stuff, DW will be on soon, toilet cleaned and house is tidy.

DD is at her friends later and OH is cooking me a lovely dinner. He went to M&S yesterday  and bought Prawn Cocktail to start, then Chicken or Pork in rich sauces, roasted new potatoes and is doing roasted veg. Pudding is a chocolate flan which needs to be crisped up in oven with channel islands cream:D ....I am so looking forward to it. He has never done a meal like this before and thats in nearly 20 years since we met. We have always gone out, but I think its because I will be more comfy at home and we can snuggle after and watch a film or something:rolleyes:

We are going to nephews tomorrow for a fab Roast too, so I have little or no cooking to do this weekend;)

I sent the email to the cleaning company and was more assertive. Ive asked for full monies back and some kind of compensation for wasted time and energy on my part. We will see and havent heard anything back yet. The lady from another company is coming on Tuesday to discuss my needs and we have had numerous in depth emails explaining what I expect and need in the way of a cleaning company. I have actually asked my SIL to do the ironing this week as we had such a huge back up.

Anyway, Id best go as I need a brew.

    Hugs to all.

    PP

Have heard about Dd's school. She got her second choice (on the form - but as time has gone on - its the one she wanted to really go to!) so shes really happy. I am too as it means both DD's are at the same school (it would have been difficult if they had been to 2 different ones!)

off again to tidy up some more - this place is a state!!!

    Hello everyone

I'm just on a coffee break from doing a spot of spring cleaning/ flyladying/ getting ready for the carpet fitters next week. I decided to make a banana cake this morning, having bought a bunch of bananas yesterday for 30p. What a disaster - I broke my scales and half way through discovered I had no self-raising flour in (I am sure there is some somewhere but where??). I ended up with a banana flavoured brick but being OS I'm going to eat it rather than throw it.

Moggins, I am so sorry to hear your news. It must hurt like hell. I'm not going to offer advice nor am I going to give an opinion on the rights or wrongs of the situation, but I do want to say that I am thinking of you and wishing you the very very best at this time of immense change.

Pink, sorry to hear about how the birthday preparations for Mr Pink went so horribly wrong. I hope there is no lasting damage to your foot (the oven door can be fixed or replaced but your foot is an awful lot more important!).

Big hugs to everyone else who needs them.

As for me, I'm just fine! I'm still working at the same place (they haven't got shot of me just yet!!) and I have this coming week off on holiday. I don't have any particular plans, other than to have carpet put down, but I know I am going to do some serious relaxing and unwinding.

    Bye for now everyone.

Afternoon all, PC keeps getting hijacked, keep telling the kids use your own!

Moggins, thinking of you, the girls are right, stop blaming yourself, it takes 2 people to make a happy relationship, I've read your posts mentioning his selfish behavour etc.

Just waiting for hair to dry so can go to the shops, need few bits and pieces. Was going to do the kitchen but DP needs to do his RC stuff in there so leaving it for now, and him with the kids while I do the shopping, or at least one of them! Been told there is a home bargains opened in my area so might have to have a nosey, I usually spend a fortune in there so taking limited cash and no cards!

Stews in the SC cooking for tea, dogs have been out and fed, uniforms washed and on the line as it's nice and bright outside, bit chilly but hopefully will get some dry/nearly dry.

Hope everyones well, hug to those who need/want one, and catch up wth you all later :) have a nice day
One day I might be more organised...........

    Good Afternoon everyone

Just had a bit of a whizz round and an now off to Lidl for flour and to see if I can get hold of some of the 89p growbags on special just now, I want to be ready for the tomatos this year.

I grew tiny toms in pots hanging from the railings between me and the canal last year, interesting but precarious. When the plants began to sag under the weight of the fruits I ended up with loads of ducks swiming around right underneath them, beaks open, in the hope they would get a windfall :rotfl:.

Mrs Coot is sitting on eggs already so Mr Coot is racing around being very protective and doing his jet-ski impersonations again, he is also trying to drown the mallards by sitting on their heads... at least I think that is what he is doing! The mallards are not at all impressed and good peckings are being delivered all round.

WM is on and BM should be but isn't yet so I'd better get my act together or I'll miss out on those growbags.

Shez, my hair is seriously in need of a cut but I'm hair-dresser hunting again, why is it as soon as you find someone you like they move salons and it is back to hunting again! Maybe I should go more often

JackieO, I'm so jealous! Have a lovely time.

Moggins, I hope things do not look quite so bleak this morning. As others have said before me, don't take all of the blame on yourself, relationships are never, ever that simple.

I hope that this thing of having a week to find a new home for you and the children doesn't have to happen, that is an impossible time scale and your OH must be made to realise that. (((Big hugs))) to you Hun.

(((Hugs))) also to TM if she sees this.
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

    Hi all,

BIG (((moggins))) - I am thinking of you, and really hope it all works out. Please look after yourself and your DD no matter what happens xxx

Busy weekend here. OH is having 8 of his mates over to play computer games for 24 hours. They all turn up lunch time (ish) on Saturday, set up a network in the lounge (thank goodness it's a big lounge :rotfl: ) then play cmputer games against each other (Call of Duty II mostly) all day and night. It's a great laugh :rotfl:

I tend to dissapear into my craft room as it's safer
Save the earth, it's the only planet with chocolate! :)
