No longer morning so .........good arternoon folks...........busy morning, could not sleep last night, so much going on in my brain just now, drafted 12 notices for the paper, all three things I have on ebay have watchers, mind you that drives me mad, people watch and don't bid, if I am watching something and I loose interest or the prices goes up more than I am prepared to pay then I delete it.

Have cleared the shelf unit in the kitchen, everything except the bread maker is in the bottom of the dresser.......basket with accessories for the food mixer is on top of the dresser, bread maker on the worktop shoved in the corner, have the TV and bookcase in the paper for next week. OH has cleared his cars off the book shelf in the living room, packed them away with some books and has also chucked out a lot of books we have collected that are no real use to anyone, others he has put on the boot sale pile.

Just about to go and tackle the drawers in the kitchen, I will be going from 4 to 3 and possibly down to 2 if we find that we can get a slim-line dishwasher in the kitchen. One drawer is full of??????????plastic bags!!!!!!!!!!! and I also found foil containers for soup etc in the freezer and 8 lots of assoerted size jam pot covers..........guess I am going to make a lot of jam at some stage.

Still have to go into the attic and get the stuff down from there, we did spend several nights last week going through photographs, decided that 4 of the albums are too recent to throw any of the photos away..........

Tomorrow we plan to reccy a boot sale in our lcal market town, it runs all year round and is undercover..............

DD has not fetched up yet, she will arrive eventually, her OH is a typical 60's man what he wants comes first including beer money, but thats another story, they celebrated their silver wedding last year......... I managed 29 years with DH1 before I threw in the towel.

Washing drying on the line, will miss that.... but beggars cannot be choosers.......getting ready to transfer shrubs from the front garden to my little plot on the allotment too, have been out with coloured wool to see whaich ones I want to move, its too wet right now.

I am off, a cuppa calls and I need to pay a visit to the little room at the top of the stairs................BEFORE I have an accident.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Hi again.
The house is very quiet as DH has taken the kids to see his mum. So I'll busy myself by doing some schoolwork, ironing, making a lasagne for tea, baking, writing a menu plan/shopping list and then I might relax for 5 minutes before they return!
Last night I went to a special service at church (women's day of parayer) and then unexpectedly I ended up in the pub with a few of the girls from church. We had a good laugh and I didn't get home until after midnight!
Anyway I'd better get off here and get busy!
    Bye

Hi everyone. (((((Moggins)))) Keep your chin up girl! It doesn't seem like it now but this could be a new beginning for you. It doesn't sound like you get much support from what you say on here, and you are only human. Its a pity men think they are super-human isn't it? I have yet to meet one who is as perfect as he thinks he is!!

(((TM))) . Hugs to you too babe. Hope you and those lovely boys are OK.

OH and me are both 'working' on our respective PCs today. We both have soooo much to do for our respective jobs it sometimes takes a day like this to catch up. Having said that, I am on here and I have just looked over his shoulder and he is on a car website so not as productive as we ought to be :D

We went out for a lovely meal last night. OH won a voucher for a meal for two at a new restaurant last year at a dinner we went to. It was one of those where you put money in an envelope and write your name on it.
Anyway, we had the meal last night and it was lovely. Quite a trendy restaurant but very friendly and the maitre d' has bags of character.

Drinks weren't included so the night cost us £11 in all. Bargain!

We need to go to Lidl later to see if they have any grow bags or mini-greenhouses left. Wish me luck.

Racy - It was lovely to hear about the ducks waiting for falling tomatoes last summer. And the update on Mr & Mrs Coot was sweet too. Its great to hear about the little things that go on in each others' lives isn't it? And the big stuff too of course!

OK, lunch beckons. Hummus-filled pitta for me. OH is grazing on rubbish. We are having quorn chilli for tea tonight but OH doesn't know it yet! I have started using e-diets. I know it costs me but they take the hassle out of healthy menu-planning for me so it is worth it to me. Hopefully I will trim down too. I have been gradually putting on weight, not much, but I want to stay trim if I can.

Have a good day all. Stay strong everyone. You can always get some support from your online chums if you need it you know.

Penny-P - re computer back-up. You can use a usb memory stick or a small portable hard drive (I have both). Neither were expensive. The 1gb stick was only £9.99 or thereabouts and the 3.5 gb mini hard drive was under £20.00. There are loads of sites you can try but Big Pockets is quite a good site. It is quite straight forward to drag and drop files etc onto either - always assuming your friend can get your machine back up and running. That actually reminds me that I must do a back-up on here soon. Hope you have a productive meeting with new cleaning folk next week.

Not much happening in my life today. Went to Ikea for candles and then Dunelm Mill for a new duvet this morning. Glad I went out fairly early as was home by 11.30. New duvet on bed and nice candles burning round the house. Flowers from M&S in vase. Might even be tempted to have a wee G&T shortly!

Hoping to remember to have a look outside tonight at about 10.30 to see the eclipse of the moon. I think the sky should be fairly clear here tonight.

DH back Friday coming and I still haven't filed the bills I promised to do! Manyana!!! Also when I was using his car yesterday the speedo isn't working so will have to get that looked at as it is now illegal to drive it. I have a really bad habit when he is away! He usually fills both cars with fuel before he goes, I then car hop so I don't have to refuel and then just before he comes home I suddenly realise both cars are about running on red and it is then a quick dash to the pumps! Don't think we have been affected up here by the dodgy fuel.

Moggins - hope you are OK today. You know your friends are here if you need us.

Love and hugs to all who need them.

    Afternoon all!!
    Hope we are all good??
Well ds3 footy team lost 4-0 but we did make sure the 3 lads that the other team wanted to play were card checked which they were most unhappy about. This is only the second loss all season. We had a rubbish ref ( and im not just saying that because we lost) and the other team were nasty to the point of our goaly having to come off after a shoulder injury and another of our players ending up in A+E with a dislocated shoulder!!! And these lads are only 9!! I hate to think what they will be like at the older age group that my ds1 plays in, as it is alot more competivive.!!!
Other than the footy i have cleaned the inside of my car ( dh did his a work) been shopping had a good tidy then dh asked me when i was doing my mystery shop!!!
I had forgoten i had one today, just shows he does listen to me sometimes!! So have just been and done that and when i got home realise they had given me change for a £20 not a £10 which i gave them, i would normally take it back but have a feeling i wont get paid for this one as was unable to complet it due to lack of staff in store, i couldnt get anyone to help me!!
    Catch u all later

    Hi All
Hugs to Moggins, keep strong things will get better, I'm sure.
I've not posted all week, by the time I get home from a 10 hour day & cook a 'proper' meal for us all, do an hour on the phone lines, whilst knitting I'm too tired to spend time on the pc, so I try to catch up at the weekend.
It's been a bit of a dificult week, very busy at work, we have a deadline to meet next Wednesday, I have to make approx 7000 copies & as of Friday, very little of the paperwork has even been produced yet.
On Thursday we had Freesat fitted, because of our location we needed a new all singing & dancing tv arial, so it was cheaper to go with Sky. We didn't receive our card till today, the tv screen is now so dark we can't really see what is showing, the remote control is faulty & they haven't set up some of the free channels!!! Today I received a call from them to see how satisfied I was with the service, it took me about 30 mins to list all the faults.
My daughter phoned yesterday to ask if I could babysit for her last night & although I was worn out, I agreed, hearing something in her voice that probably only a Mum would notice.
She & her partner were only out for a couple of hours & my DGS who is not 3 yet, was as always a real poppet.
When she came home, she looked stressed, her skin wasn't looking too good. I asked her what the problem was & it all came pouring out. A while ago she'd been to the Doctors for a routine smear test & there had been some confusion between her & another patient with similar names & the Doctor took her coil out aswell as doing a smear test, my DD didn't realise until it was too late & fell pregnant, she was feeling ambivilent about the pregnancy as they had intended to wait another year before trying for a baby, she has now miscarried & blames herself for the loss. So we had a huge heart to heart as she knows I also suffered miscarriages & I know how deep that loss can cut. Hopefully she will feel better in a few weeks.
    Hugs

    Hi everyone

Well it has been a nice sunny day here. Got a new set of pans yesterday, so offered them up on Freecycle, first person was coming at 2, then someone else asked for them, eventually at 6 mins to 2 the first person sent an email saying could it be tomorrow, so went backto the other person asking if they could come today, coming straight down so, he should be here in 10 mins and I have got rid.

Oh dlb - we took our son out of football in the end because there is so much nastiness and crazy parents, (and cold weekends at side of the pitch) switched sports, still eager parents but nowhere near as intense. Luckily if it involves a ball he can play anything.

(((Moggins))) I've not been here long enough to know much, but if the control is him wanting to spend the bonus on gadgets and you getting nothing or not a lot then, that is not on. I hate the inference that a man feels its his money as he "EARNS" it. Sorry if the decision is that you stay at home and do the housework, cook the meals, and look after the kids, its shared money in my book. Stop trying to be Superwoman, I am sure he is not Superman. Look after yourself.

Penny-Pincher if your Laptop has a camera memory slot you can use that to back up too, I just bought a 4 gb SD card for £17.99. You dont have to back up everything, just your own documents, mails etc., Programs can just be reinstalled.

I've just asked on any questions about the plastic (Silicon) bakeware, anyone any experience or best (cheapest)place to get it? We've just been up into the loft with DH to recover my bakeware, but guess what it is somewhere up there, but heaven knows where!

    Take care all

Been out and about in town earlier today but since getting back the WM and DW have gone on... followed swiftly by the TD and the WM again!

The lounge could do with a serious blitz but seeing as flatmate is fast a skip in there (he was up at 2am this morning for work) I think it would be mean to wake him! May concentrate my efforts on the kitchen instead and maybe make some flapjacks as an incentive!

Just confirmed my tesco shop which is hopefully going to be delivered Tuesday. Remembered to use a code for extra points!

Thats's about all for today... i'm off to do some cooking!

dlb - sorry to hear about footie result. Do you know, nothing changes! 20 odd years ago we had the same stuff going on when DS was about your son's age. I used to be horrified by some of the parent's so called 'encouragement' when their sons were playing. Like you say, they are only 9 and should be out there enjoying themselves, being responsibly competitive and learning to be good sports. Not ending up being hacked off the pitch!

HHester - so sorry to hear about your daughter. Glad you and her have managed a good heart to heart. Us Mum's know when something's wrong, don't we? It will probably take her a wee bit of time to totally come to terms with things but with your support I am sure she will.

Had a lovely surpise this afternoon. My neighbours popped in with their little girl (2 1/2) with some flowers for me as they know I have been so poorly over the last few weeks and also that DH away for almost another week. It was lovely to see them and of course GB has plenty to bring out for children to play with! How do you remove crayon from the table? Only joking!!!!

Hope the day continues OK for you all.

    Love
