Evening this is my current experience with Nationwide very happy so far.

AIP: 05/09/13 straight to accept, just wanted to see most current payslip
    Application: 05/09/13
Valuation: 13/09/13 moved to 16/09/13 by seller

Living in the south of the country. Nationwide have kept me updated via texts / emails. I went through a independent mortgage advisor who was whole of market.

    Fingers crossed for valuation.

    Valuation 16/09/2013
    Offer today :j
Can I find out my credit score?
You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)
  • It's taken 5 weeks just to get a survey which is being done this Thursday so fingers crossed everything will go through ok and will get a formal acceptance of a mortgage by the end of the week.

    Straw poll.

Who is having a basic mortgage report and valuation and who is having a homebuyer's done via the lender?

We have seen plenty of anecdotal evidence on here that choosing the latter adds around three weeks to the average inspection appointment due to the shortage of surveyors available to do them.

I'm having a homebuyer report and I had AIP on 15th August and survey being done on 18th September.

My valuation is being done today too!

My latest submission was on Monday, 9 September.

Valuation is being done today. Employer's ref and letting agent ref requested, so I expect this one to drag a bit.
Both references still outstanding. Valuation was done and back on 13th.

So they do want landlord references? Our broker said they just wanted the details and wouldn't ask.
Funny how this thread is telling me more about the process. Twice now I've read here that more information is being required rather than what the broker has been telling us then he comes back to ask us for more. It's really quite irritating that this thread is a better source of info than my broker!!

They do if there's a letting agent involved. Then it's;-

    letting agent's reference
    or
twelve months' bank statements evidencing rent payments.

We're honest and declare the letting agents' details as they may be visible on any bank statements. Some may try to hide it, to avoid the requirement.

  • Thanks King, I've just had the text to say the survey was satisfactory and that I now have a formal mortgage offer so very relieved at that.
