  • Congrats, I've got a valuation next week and hopefully an offer will follow shortly after.

    Well done for persevering.

King street, I wish I had contracted you, it took 11 days in total for nationwide to book my survey and my original application was in July!
  • Hi,
Massively concerned as case is being delayed due to Technical faults on the system. Lead time described as 72hours for a fix, tracking team have now raised their 3rd ticket so a week has been lost without resolution. Apparently offer is merely waiting for an update on this fault. With a sensitive deadline for exchanging on new buy, very concerned we may lose the property due to this trivial issue.
Does anybody have any advice on escalation?

    Thanks,
    Chris

As people seem to be coming to this thread for nationwide timescales I thought I would post my experience as a gauge for others. I am using an IFA and the property I'm buying is in West Kent.

30/08 - Applied and received decision in principle.
04/09 - Mortage formally applied for. (Text received)
06/09 - Employers reference requested. Fax returned same day.
10/09 - Valuation survey booked for 19/09. (Text received)

I will update as I go through the process.
  • Wow. I feel really lucky. I applied for my mortgage in branch last Tuesday and was accepted and got the text message the same day. The valuation was carried out a week to the day and formal offer has been confirmed the same day. They were very helpful in branch
  • Evening this is my current experience with Nationwide very happy so far.

AIP: 05/09/13 straight to accept, just wanted to see most current payslip
    Application: 05/09/13
Valuation: 13/09/13 moved to 16/09/13 by seller

Living in the south of the country. Nationwide have kept me updated via texts / emails. I went through a independent mortgage advisor who was whole of market.

    Fingers crossed for valuation.
Can I find out my credit score?
You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)

    Here is ours :

20/08/13 - AIP : Just asked for payslips.
    21/08/13 : Valuation booked for 11/09/13.
During this time we submitted my OH payslip and saw searches for the mortgage on experian.
Today - Survey and Valuation - fingers crossed :T
Aim - BUYING A HOUSE  by November 2013!
    Saved = 100% on 03/07/12 :j
  • My valuation is also today, though judging by my experiences to date the valuer will probably value the wrong house, nationwide will lose the paperwork, the whole case will be reassessed over a 48 hour period and a new valuation will be booked in three weeks from now.

Fingers crossed, I will call countrywide later to chase......

My latest submission was on Monday, 9 September.

Valuation is being done today. Employer's ref and letting agent ref requested, so I expect this one to drag a bit.
