Our valuation took place on 16/05 and I will be chasing results this morning. I believe it will be handed over to the underwriters today for review. Exciting stuff cant wait to hear about the valuation today!0 -
We had our valuation which came back fine, received offer letter. Now just waiting for solicitors to do their things, but not able to get hold of him at the mo.
As we are buying a Resale SO property, we had to send the Housing Association a copy of our mortgage offer for them to approve. Our solicitor sent them a copy, waiting to hear back and get an exchange date. I am getting impatient now, and want to get in our new home!!Slimming World Member - Started 05/02/150 -

Hoping it runs smoothly now. I am guessing it hasn't been through underwriters so not sure how long it will take to get to offer stage (fingers crossed!)
The agents we are buying from is part of countrywide, not sure if this has helped... fingers crossed for you!0 -

Intially there was some confusion with my wife's salary so they said they were waiting from a reference from her employer. Her employer received no contact from nation wide at all so we phoned nation wide again and asked them to fax what they needed to her employer. This was sorted and we though all was good. It then turned out that they had input the wrong amount of (lower) of my salary. They wanted a letter from my employer stating what I earned, I was told to get the letter and fax from a nation wide branch, which i did. I waitied a few days and phoned up to check all was good. They had not received the fax....I was then told it should have been sent direct from my employer so I went back to my HR cell and ask them to fax the letter which they did. It did arrive but when I phone up to check, they had still got the salary wrong! But the person I was speaking said even though they had out down a lower amount It was an "aceptance" on the mortgage. I asked him to double check and be confirmed this through another department, and said in his proceed with the reservation of the morgage and valuation of the house. I got put through to another department, where I stated I would not part with any money unless he could again confirm (I was not confident because of the bad admin up to this point) that proofs has been verified, been accepted and I would be offered the full amount. He put me on hold to speak to someone and got back to me and told me "anything short of a catastrophe I would get the mortgage as It was accepted". This was verified by three people, so was good enough for me. He then proceeded to take payment and particulars of the new house etc. He then put me on hold and for a long time and said he would call back. He did indeed call back an hour later only to tell me the "you have been given a managed decline". I then spent far too long on the phone trying to understand how this happened, to be told a complaint will be logged and a manger will call me in the morning. I am outraged and still do not understand how three people that work for nationwide can say "yes" take my money then say "no" an hour later. This is unacceptable, I will go to another lender but does anyone know, as nation wide have refused me this amount will it flag up anything negative against my credit score?0

Valuation was received back on Monday, I understand the application and valuation will now be passed to the underwriters. Anyone any idea on the length of time till we hear now?
Also as we asked for a homebuyers report does that mean we will receive a copy of it too?0 -
My time line to date:
1 - Got an AIP from a broker in Jan-13.
2 - 1/5/13 Had an offer accepted on a property and spoke to the broker, asking him to submit a full application. Received two text messages, one saying "Product(s) have been reserved for your mortgage application", and a second saying "Your mortgage application has been received".
3 - 7/5/13 we received an email from the broker saying all documents regarding income have been signed off, and that proof of deposit documents would be signed off in next couple of days. Informed that the survey was instructed on 1/5/13, but neither I nor the estate agent had heard anything. Broker suggested the estate agent chase directly with Countrywide, which she did. We then received a text saying the valuation was booked for 13/05.
4 - 8/5/13 received an email from the broker saying all documents signed off, everything agreed, but requesting some specific documents around proof of deposit. Provided requested documents on 9/5/13.
5 - 13/5/13 received an email from the broker requesting further evidence/confirmation around proof of deposit. The request included statement requests for closed ISAs etc which we needed to request from our bank and were told these could take 3-5 days. We heard from the estate agent the survey went ahead as planned.
6 - 14/05/13 called Nationwide direct, told over the phone the valuation has come back. The valuation matched our offer price.
7 - 15/05/13 received a text from Nationwide to say they "received a satisfactory valuation report" and that they "will be in touch again shortly".
We hope to get the latest documents in relation to the deposit to them by Monday, depending on when we receive the statements. Hopefully they can process and sign these off promptly. Will keep the thread updated with progress.
8 - 17/05/13 provided the documents to Nationwide which they had requested on 13/05/13.
9 - 22/05/13 received a text from Nationwide to say they are "delighted to issue a formal mortgage offer".
So it took a little while, and they went over the deposit with a fine tooth comb, but we got there in the end!0 -
Our valuation came back as ok on Monday 20th, which was super quick as he'd only visited the property at 10am that morning!
They have now requested two employers references as I have 2 jobs. That's all they have requested so far along with payslips... anyone else just had this amount of info requested. Seems to be moving quite fast!0
