My solicitor received the offer exactly a week after I received my paper copy. I waited 8 days from offer text to receiving my posted offer.

Looks like Nationwide just arent that great at posting things!

This is so strange, the vendor is now getting restless as he says it cant be so long for the posts to arrive.

Hoping that I dont loose this house now.

Can some one tell me if i have a written confirmation from the agents that my offer has been accepted can they still back out of it. My mortgage is already approved and got the survey and everything done but getting scared coz of all these delays for reasons beyond my control.

If it is possible what can i do to make sure that buyer and seller are legally binded to the deal.

They would normally take out the money same day as soon as DIP is given to you

That's not true. Purely because you can apply for a DIP, then wait months before submitting your full application.

Your payment details only get submitted on full application. I assume in your case your broker, or you, done them together.

Waiting for tenant to vacate mid-May before contract exchange, plus my tenancy doesn't end until end of June so there is no rush....... more time equals more pay cheques before paying the solicitor and stamp duty, fine with me!! :p

Got our mortgage offer today yay!
I have read all the small print and they can still back out if there is any significant changes, or if they felt like u haven't told the truth.
Also tells u to pay credit cards and loans off before completion!!

    Hi,

I didn't have anything about paying off loans or credit cards before completion on my offer docs, so I don't think it's necessarily a standard thing with NW. May be worth checking out in your case with your broker/advisor (just a suggestion)?

    Oh, and congratulations! :j

    Cheers,

    Did u not?
It was in very small print at the end.
Did u have outstanding loans and credit cards when u completed? If u dont mind me asking?

    Thanks :j
Just want it done and the keys now.
