Anything from 72 hours to 6 weeks, depending on the complexity of your application. I think the average is 3-4 weeks.

    Hi japmis

Thanks for your reply. Is your time scale based on the valuation or the application?

    Cheers Dan

Application and from people on this thread. My valuation was approved 13 March and I'm still waiting on final approval of mortgage. (Full application 8 March).

We have been about 3 1/2 weeks now and both us and our buyers are with Nationwide, both existing and porting.

Not really impressed so far to be honest, I have received no text updates despite signing up to that service. The valuation was arranged and carried out almost straight away but I have received no feedback at all. We did get a couple of queries come through which I responded to but that's it so far.

Our buyers paid for the survey 2 weeks ago but nothing has been arranged so far.

All in all it feels very slow and cumbersome which is a shame as I have always been quite impressed with them and even bank with them.

I have got the valuation booked for today, I don't really know what time is it but i will keep everyone informed if and when I hear.
Looking at timelines on here my MB could be wrong then, as he said once valuation is done you will get the final offer from bank in the same week as the valuation is on Monday.

    Keeping my fingers crossed.

Just got a call from my own bank saying they have lowered there interest rates and it is better than NW but all the docs and everything is already in processing so don't want to think of making any changes.

    Hi Matt

No one knows how long it will take as it is upto the banks. I have submitted my payslips p60 and everything already and the valuation takes place today, but your application has moved very swiftly in all the other stages so may be it should be soon for you. If you see a lot of people have been waiting for just way too long and nothing has come through and few people get that within a few days not even weeks so we just have to wait I guess.

    So far for me: -

    Offer Accepted 10/04/13
    Text received from Nationwide 11/04/13
Valuation is to take place on 15/04/13 (Today).
  • Well I seem to have a issue, that I have to wait to the 25th of this month to forward a payslip due to a salary increase which comes into effect from this month, obviously my previous slips show my old salary......

Very annoying to have to wait just to the 25th just to send the letter with slip off.
