I have sent the DIP to my agent but then I called as a new buyer to ask about the same property he said its under offer but not sold yet so we are showing it.

I do not want to call my MB just yet as tomorrow it will be a whole week that I submitted my application and no valuation done.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Please update on thred as and when you have any so we can also get an idea.

Just got a call from my MB he said he chased my application and NW is happy with everything and they will now send someone for survey and all, he also said he will give countrywide's number to the property agent and ask them to give them a call in case they are in a rush or anything but he said i will get a call from NW in a day or two to confirm the valuation

Is valuation and survey different things. I think i am the stupidest person ever on the forum

Just rang nationwide who've said it's now in PCV mode whatever that is?!

If it's not thru in the next week it's going to be me that needs Pressure Controlled Ventilation!

They do the valuation and "survey" at the same time. Sometimes this survey is just a drive by to make sure the property exists, they don't do a full survey unless you request that.

Don't worry about being clueless, I was the same as you a few months ago. I don't have parents to ask so have been relying on this forum and colleagues at work!

forgot to say...... give your estate agent a call with this info, it will show you're keen to purchase the property asap.

Im applying for a mortgage with NW today so will pop back as and when to update my timeline!

Thanks a lot for your reply, I got a call from mortgage agent that all is ok and they dont need any docs for now and also got a text confirming that they will do the survey on 15th that is monday.

He also said that your offer will be with you as soon as the survey is done so anytime in next week once the survey reports are out.

Lets hope for the best

I have had a good experience with Nationwide

12/03/13 - Offer accepted
14/03/13 - Sumbitted application to NW, DIP received via email, Valuation/Survey organised via email/text
19/03/13 - Received word Valuation to be carried out on 25/03/13
25/03/13 - Valuation carried out
01/04/13 - Received text/email saying Valuation report is fine
04/04/13 - Mortage offer issued - received text/email

I have received brilliant service from all representitives on the phone and in branch.

wow that was super quick they did the valuation today and sent the report too same day?
I finally got my valuation date for 15th and then i dont know how long they will take to get the report done
