Cut out Beavers and go clubbercizing instead, it'll be so much better for you. Never mind "if I get a chance", this should be top of the agenda for the meeting otherwise why are you going???

    Consider yourself told dear friend!
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

  • Hi Lucky sorry I've not been in lately. I think Tuesday is the perfect time to tell the beavers man [STRIKE]where to go[/STRIKE] nicely & firmly that you are no longer available! October sounded like a good month overall (aside from seizures :().

P.s bird poo....I have been pooped on many a time by them! Never seem to get much luck from it! The worst was when I was stood at a bus stop waiting to go out on the town for the night and i'd spent ages doing my hair and make up and one flew over and pooped right in my hair and it ran all down my face. I was not impressed. At all! Never tried putting pizza sauce in it to remedy it :rotfl: must remember that one :rotfl:

  • Heh heh Satchmo, I love it that you feel so strongly you had to tell me twice :rotfl:. The meeting on Tuesday is for the whole committee and Leaders so not entirely appropriate to discuss infront of everyone. I promise everyone to corner him about it though.

I think the Carer's Centre woman was getting at the fact that Carers tend to lose themselves in the role, so whilst Beavers isn't exactly 'me' time, it's something else I do outside of Caring. I don't think she appreciated how stressful it is though.

Eye is ok despite 2 gross baths in one day :rotfl:. I thought it would be lucky too but the scratchcard I bought proved otherwise!! Mind you, I'll take luck in other ways than money :D. In saying that, MiL gave me £30 to cover the rock climbing today though :A, so that could be my luck. It's very much appreciated and gives us a little more room to breathe.

Well done on the debt reduction. I'd choose Clubbersize over Beavers -sounds like fun and it will do you good to have fun!
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Clubbercise looks awesome SA. It's a class done in a darkened room with glowsticks and disco lights. You can make a wally of yourself and no one can see :T.

Hope you had a lovely day with your DGD Xx

  • OMG count me in Lucky.

Yesterday I watched Justin's House on cbeebies (...yep.. just... letting... that... sink in.. cbeebies :rotfl:) and they had glow in the dark dancers juggling and throwing shapes... I was mesmerized. Jellytot was in my bedroom otherwise occupied using my bra as a handbag. The shame.

I am not one for making a big scene in front of important types, so I second having a quiet word once leader is cornered.

YAY to MiL. Did I miss rock climbing or is this part of DS1's partially funded trip away? Sounds brilliant regardless! She is a keeper. Wish I had one that did that instead of casually ignoring my requests for certain gifts and spending three times the money on useless tat and out of season clothing. Not to mention giving my highly dairy and gelatin intolerant child Haribo and Mini Cheddars.

Hope you had a lovely Sunday. Boys back to school tomorrow? I know you hate it, but try and make the most of your child free time :) xx

  • Consider yourself counted Lilt!!

Lol at cbeebies watching! When DS1 was little he was in to Lazytown, which I liked too coz Sportacus was weirdly attractive (yes, you read that right!!) and also FiFi and the Flowertots which was so cute! I was devastated when he grew out of it! DS2 is your Peppa Pig kinda guy (when he isn't watching Superheroes!), which is also good fun!

Boys back at school tomorrow. You are right I'm disappointed but also ready for a bit of routine after a mad week!

We went Rock Climbing yesterday Lilt, which is something DS1 and DH did pre accident. DS1 used to be in the Junior Coaching Academy and had been deemed a potential world class competitor .... Then he got bored and gave it up . DH's accident meant that it wasn't really thought of for a while but they said a few weeks ago they wanted to try it again, so I said 'yes, in half term'. Didn't realise it would be £29 for the 3 of them!! They all loved it though and MiL gave me the money back as she knew we were skint!

Almost at 5k posts . What should I call my new diary?? I like this diary :(. Don't make me move!!

  • How did I miss that!! How lovely for them to do something together that used to be done. I love rock climbing. Wow to world class potential!! But frightening too... I would be very protective!

My mum used to scrimp to put me and little sister into horse riding classes and I have a genuine talent for it, but gave up when I had to start thinking about paying myself. Loved the peace it gave me :) we all find something we are good at eh :D I think yours is juggling ;)

Hmmm... I don't want you to move either. At least your first post can link back to this diary! Maybe think of it as a fresh start; look at what your first post was last time, and figure out what you want from the next 3.5 years. Debt freedom is so close!
