  • Oh my typing was shocking. Indugle! Slated  - look before speak. :rotfl: - the ice cream was excellent. £2.25 in Mr S at the minute!

Poor poor DS2. I am desperate for Jellytot to get it. Mainly as the older she gets the worse it will be for her so I just want it out of the way. Hope DS2 is not in too much discomfort. I hope he doesn't get any inside his mouth!

DH is a fine one to speak but to be honest you have had a lot to cope with recently, so if you were having mood swings, so you should be! Frankly if I was you I would not have a fraction of the patience you do. So you keep your head up and focus on feeling better.

Hope DH consultant appt went well. Thanks for reminding me about mine! I've got a seriously dead arm :( Did you get the bloods back? xx

  • Didn't update yesterday as had a hectic day. Felt like I never stopped, including through the night as DS2 had a bad one due to Pox :(. DH swapped beds with him but I still didn't sleep as a)DS2 was thrashing around all night even when asleep and b) I was worried DH would seizure unattended. Tired this morning but what's new?!

So, sorted MiL's energy comparison and switch yesterday, saving her a predicted £300 this year. Good thing about that for us, is that DS2 is getting a 'striping pyjama' oleg :rotfl: which he has been desperate for! Cheered him up, just got to get through a month of "When is it coming?" now!!

Saw the Consultant who was only running 30 minutes late (bonus!) and he has increased DH's meds again :T.

Beavers Badge night.. Nuff said!

T@lk T@lk rang to say they had fixed the fault on the line and admittedly the line doesn't crackle now, but we still have no internet so they are 'continuing investigations'!

Didn't hear from the GP but they did say they might wait for all results to come back first, as only some would have been back yesterday.

Got all my payslips back in the post yesterday, that DWP had asked me to provide re DH's income related benefit in July. There was no covering letter but today £30 has been credited to our bank account. Waiting for a letter (hopefully today) to confirm that it's an overpayment due to me earning less than they expected before I move it to a debt.

DH has gone for a cycle with his paramedic friend this morning. DS2 is asking to go for a walk on the beach later as it's sunny outside! I think he thinks he'll go swimming in the sea .

  • DH woke up on another planet this morning. He came round eventually but has been quite snappy today. He then told me I was 'scary' in my mood swings of late. Don't know quite what to make of that!

I'd be tempted to say you were taking your cues from him!

Sorry to hear about the pox in the house. Hope DS2 feels better soon.

As ever, try and be kind to yourself.
  • Hope ds2 is feeling better? Use some porridge oats in some old tights in his bath if he's super itchy it helps ease it and is super MSE ;)

I hope you get a chance to rest....bah, who am I kidding, well I hope you at least get a better night's sleep tonight :) xx

  • Beanie, I just keep plodding is all :p.

DF(w) and JAT, thanks for the kind wishes. I have been told about the porridge thing and will definitely be trying that!

DS2 got his run along the beach. And an ice cream :A.

I lost half a pound at chub club! Happy with that after the birthday meal on Saturday.

Attended another Scouts meeting tonight. It's all starting to get a bit much if I'm honest :(.

  • YAYYYYYYYY for losing 1/2 a lb. I saw in asda some kind of mousse for kids with chicken pox. But it was £7ish and I remember mum coating my little sister in calamine lotion.. much cheaper. Porridge oats are amazing for eczema too!

Lucky I have a shedload of an anti-itching cream called Dermol if you want to google it, says good for chicken pox. I am happy to send you some still in the box for him. PM me your address if you want it! And don't worry about the postage either I have got a giant book of stamps which was given to me! xx

  • Mrs H, a pause button would be a-maz-ing!!! We can but dream!

Hi Fudgie, yes I'm another one of those parents-got-drunk-at-Christmas babies :rotfl:. I'll admit to feeling battle weary at the moment, just tired and fed up, but I have no doubt I'll bounce back again soon.

    Hello

Just wanted to say you cheered me up tonight - my birthdays 0909 and your description made me laugh.

I could never imagine my parents having sex

I am reading your diary from the beginning .... Up to the 400's but tonight I thought I would dip into the present... I am full of admiration, and hope you don't mind me joining your journey x

  • Thanks Lilt, you are very kind. DS2 has thus far slept through tonight so hopefully the itching isn't too bad for him at the moment. The antivirals are certainly affecting his tummy (green poo anyone?!), so hopefully they are working to stop the itch too.

Bubblesmum, you are more than welcome to join the [STRIKE]whingefest[/STRIKE] party. My parents didn't have sex either, I was found under a bush in the garden :rotfl:. Hope you had a good birthday too Xx

DH had another seizure a while ago, hence me being awake now :(. Managed to stop it with the buccal midazlam this time. He's now gone back to sleep, snoring heavily, but again when he came round he knew he'd had a seizure. We haven't gone up in the daily medication yet as suggested by the Consultant on Monday, as we had to order more tablets to be collected today (he is to go up by 25mg morning and night and the tablets we have are 50mg and 100mg, so we had to order 25mg ones). They are ready for collection today, so at least we might buy ourselves a few more weeks until the next seizure with those!

    'Morning Lucky,

Oh dear. M' heart sank when I saw you're on-line at this hour. :(
Poor MrL and poor you having two 'casualties' to look after..
    Night-watch, eh?
..Hope the rest of it proves uneventful for you (((hugs)))

I've got a clever little gizmo for chopping pills accurately - not ideal but better than waiting for your chemist to order the new dosage.
