Won the raffle at chub club which was for silicone dishes. Someone else bought me the ticket so totally free .

    Bad things;

DS2 still woke through the night last night despite being better :(.
Gained 3lbs at chub club :o.
Took the wrong paper work to the swimming pool so had to pay full price for the boys - total of £5.30 instead of £2 .

Ouch on chub club & swimming, and I bet you're tired. I was woken up once last night and that was horrifying!

    Yay for everything else!!!

Can you take the paperwork in retrospectively with your receipt for swimming and get the money back?

Sounds so positive lucky, apart from the wrong paper! DOH!! these little things have become so annoying? I did the same with a certain blue T supermarket £4 off voucher recently- I never even would have thought it could have been so upsetting 6 months ago!!

Keep strong and dont worry about the 3 pounds gain, youve lost that in a week before! x

  • Glad there were lots of positives in there, but boo to paying the extra on the swimming, it's only a few quid but when you know you can get it cheaper it's really annoying isn't it! Have a great day all :)

Went to gym this morning while MiL watched boys :T. Was good to be back after 3 weeks off. I've also climbed back on the diet wagon!

DH was very angry for the earlier part of the day but he has mellowed as the day went on. For someone who has a poor memory he seemed to have remembered loads of negatives from the last few days and lumped them all together in a 'you are always having a go at me' way. For example, last night after the boys were in bed he was being very noisy tidying up. I did say, thanks for tidying up but can you keep the noise down. Today he remembered that as me not appreciating what he'd done and just having a go at him while he was trying to help!

Oh, and MiL thinks she might have poisoned the boys as she gave them some squirty cream on Saturday which she discovered to be off yesterday. Perhaps it wasn't a bug at all then when they spent all day on Sunday throwing up .

    Eek, Grandmother poisoning your boys!

I remember MIL had things a decade old in her pantry which she was about to feed to my children! I stopped her just in time.

The week before last we got a refund on swimming as I paid full price for DD and she had a discount card. Worth trying if you are in the area again soon.

Some of your DH's reactions sound very like my DH when he is depressed. He often accuses me of not appreciating what he has done to help. He takes minute things as criticisms, it is heartbreaking as I know that it isn't really him IYKWIM I think something upsets him and then he can only think of negatives.

I bet on his good days he knows that you really do appreciate what he does to help.

Mr SA is the same Lucky - yet another delight of a brain injury no doubt! I get accused of "being horrible" to him (this is if I don't let him have his own way all the time) and I don't appreciate it apparently when he puts away the online shop in the wrong cupboards, stuff in the freezer that needs to be in the fridge and vice versa plus I don't appreciate it when he does the ironing and hangs up clothes still creased! I'm just so ungrateful :)
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Aw Pooh and SA thank you for that. It sounds like you both know exactly what it's like. Mr Lucky is having a better day today, I hope your DHs are too.

Today has been a better day all round. I went and bought 4 copies of the newspaper-that-everyone-hates to get their free £5 fruit/veg voucher for Mr M's. My lovely neighbour then called round with 2 more she had bought for me :rotfl:. We have just been and spent 2 of the vouchers (I sent DH through another till) and got melon, grapes, pineapple, apples, blackberries, mushrooms, 2 packs of peppers and some tomatoes :T. DS1 also found 5p on the floor :D. Another lovely neighbour gave me some courgettes from his garden so I'm all set! Still have 4 vouchers to spend up til Sunday too.

Before that we were out for the day with DH's best friend, his girlfriend and his grandson at an animal park we haven't been to before. It cost £19 to get in but we had a lovely time and I am now officially in love with a raccoon called Buster :rotfl:. Took a picnic and had a nice day in the sunshine.

Got free tickets to Beamish for tomorrow, keep your fingers crossed it doesn't rain like it's forecast to!
