Thank you springdreams!
DH completed Total Warrior with his pals. He was chuffed as he finished in the top 7% of four and a half thousand people. I was chuffed because he got home in one piece!!
I went to a meeting yesterday to finalise the details of the grand opening of the new Scout Hut. Then I realised that the date and time they have chosen is the same as my sister's 30th birthday meal . She is on holiday for her actual birthday so the date hadn't been obvious. I asked my sister if there was any chance she could change the time to a bit later in the afternoon (it's booked for noon) but she said no which is fair enough. It'll go down like a lead balloon that I can't go to the opening but family first.
It got out lovely and sunny late afternoon yesterday so I took a chance and hung the washing out. We then had thunder and lightening while I was at work and as it was a white wash it all needs done again . This has made the washing situation even worse because a) DH came back thick of mud and b) both boys have been up all night being sick:(.
So today (which feels like tea time already as I've been up since 3.30am) will just be a sofa day with a bit of housework thrown in.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Hi Lucky, :hello:
Very pleased to hear DH did so well at Total Warrior! :T
..But commiserations for the frustrations you've had to put up with since.
Your kids pick up a lot of 'sicky' bugs, don't they? Do feel for you (just the smell of vomit sets me heaving; used to dose my lot with homeopathic ipecac at the first chuck, then nowt but sips of water with lemon juice until several hours after their tummies settled. It works).
Hope you manage to get a siesta later, to catch up on your forced short night.0 -
Not sure my boys get any more sicky bugs than other kids (and definitely know families who are ALWAYS bug ridden), but yes I think we could do with some kind of homeopathic remedy Robin. I remember DS2 being sick around March time when he stayed at my Mum's, but think it's been the cat who has been sick most often and most recently :rotfl:. They have both been starved all day and the last bout of upchuck was around 4 hours ago now so fingers crossed. DS1 has definitely had it worst bless him, he looks awful.
Between playing nursemaid I've attacked DS1's bedroom which is looking much neater now, sorted some things for the loft, hung out several loads of washing, filled in some surveys (PWPS gave out a linky to YouGov so I've signed up), entered competitions, and cashed out for 6 free cinema tickets with Homescan :T. Today has also been a NSD as we haven't been across the front door :j.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Hi Lucky,
Poor boys! To echo MiT, I really hope that your tummy pains don't follow suit and become upchuck! Still, any NSD is a good day.
All that washing, what a disaster. One of the only things that is pleasant and horrible in equal measure about living in my flat. I have no outdoor drying space, but lots of space by the bay window in my bedroom. Sash windows, lift up halfway leaving me with about 20 square feet of open space looking out onto trees and the garden, with no real road in sight. It gets some sun late afternoon, and because of the bay a breeze comes through. My washing dried on airers in about the same time as it would on the line, even on rainy days (takes a bit longer) but still smells line dried! In winter... Not so good, heating running 5-6 hours a night trying to keep up with it all.Throw in a sicky bug and I am doomed.
What the devil is ipecac *googles* - I might have to invest. Jellytot has such a delicate tum.
Hope your night is peaceful Lucky. Sleep tight!

Evening! My ds2 had another icky tummy over the weekend. Threw up at 4am and we had to be up and out at 7am to drive to london. Luckily right after being sick he was ok?! I give my kids some powder, concoction thing that helps settle their tummies and keep bugs away (well not sure that works but they don't seem to be sick very long, they get better quicker than others we know with same bugs?!) I can't remember the name of it now though

Sorry to hear your DS2 was poorly DF(w). Glad it was just the once.
Lilt my night was far from peaceful but thank you for your well wishes anyway. DS2 was up at midnight and again at 4am for drinks, before starting to be sick again at 5am. We went back to sleep again at 6am and he then slept until 10.30am when he woke up right as rain. DS1 has also been fine and dandy today apart from sore stomach muscles from puking so much yesterday!
We haven't done much today incase the sickiness returned, but the boys got some fresh air in the garden. It's been nice enough to get two full loads of washing dried on the line :T. We collected a prescription from DH's surgery and went to Mr T's. Spent £66 but that was after saving £10.40 in coupons, mainly from the Orchard project I'm part off. I love free stuff.
DH having waves of fear again tonight.

Oh dear! Sorry to hear that Lucky. Here is hoping tonight is better then! Though not sounding great with the waves of fear. It must be awful for him to feel like that, when I think about it. I hate being scared.
Night sounds eventful. I wonder if I should send you all some of my valium in the post. You could just dope everyone up and sleep! :rotfl: Still a 10:30 lie in sounds good! I didn't get to see my friend and new babyJellytot has a runny nose. So much so that I had to change her bedding this morning. I didn't dare take her near a 3 day old baby. So all being well, will go tomorrow whilst she is at nursery if the runny nose doesn't develop into lurgy. I think she is teething but couldn't risk it!
Yay for washing dried! Is the pile a bit less daunting now?
Mr T spends very good. My sister is fanatical about free stuff. I once bought her a mascara from B00ts, it came with a free No7 gift bag with little bits and pieces in it as I spent on a couple of items. She was overjoyed with the freebie, more so than the £13 mascara! :rotfl:
Wishing you all the luck tonight; you could do with a decent nights sleep by now I am sure.Hugs!
