Your boys will love having a dog around Lucky - with the added bonus of dog being able to sniff out Mr Lucky's seizures hopefully. Weird thing is before Mr SA was diagnosed our dog was forever sniffing his head. It does make you wonder. Night out sounded great, glad you enjoyed it. And Lilt - £20 in your bra - what are you like!!!!

  • Thank you so much everyone for your lovely replies, money off info and visions of bras stuffed with money :rotfl:.

I'm sorry I've neglected my diary for a couple of days, so much been going on my head has been in a spin! Nothing bad, just a lot to deal with for the boys/Beavers/money/DH etc.

    So, in a nutshell;

DLA renewal pack has been completed, all Consultant reports photocopied and included and finally sent off :j.

Had a NSD yesterday, making just 2 for June. June also saw the back of a debt though, so it was still a good month.

I lost a pound at fat class tonight, so the 3 stone award still eludes me! 1 more lb to go.

A wonderful person (who shall remain nameless but is more than welcome to oust them-self) sent me a voucher to help with DS1's camping trip :A.

My phone developed a major fault and couldn't be fixed. I simply can't be without a phone with DH the way he is, so I had to get a new one. Cost me £90 to get out of my old contract :(. Really did not need that at the minute!!

B@rcl@yc@rd have, as predicted, sent me a 0% offer now that the card is cleared :j Have only had time to have a quick look and do a basic calculation but I think I will probably go for it. The next card to run out does so it December and I won't have it cleared by then. Just have to work out if the BT fee (approx £40) will be more or less than any potential interest that I'd have to pay from December until it's cleared.

I'm sure there's lots more, but as I said, brain is frazzled!!

  • Can't sleep.

DH is emitting a nasty smell. It's the sort of 'I've been sick smell' but he hasn't.

Bet you are glad I told you that!!!

    Hope he's not poorly.

    Hey Lucky,

Just popping in. How lovely of the lovely person who has not outed themselves and sent you a voucher for DS camping. Rubbish news about the £90 phone contract though. I hope you at least have a shiny new phone to show for the trouble now?

Re DH smelling like sick but not, do you get that with the kids too? I can tell if Jellytot is ill just by sniffing her hair. She gives off her own little ill stench, not in a bad way, just in a tuned in mum way. Maybe that's what you had going on. Hope all was well.

Glad you have visions of bra's stuffed full of money. You know they say if you envision something hard enough it will happen? So go on, indulge yourself ;) hahaha.

  • just catching up, sorry to hear about the seizure breaking the eight week run :( boooo.

Hope dh is not sick, my ds2 smells sicky before he gets ill ! Just picking up on what SA said and we noticed that our dog wouldn't leave my dad alone before he had the tumour removed, his dog also did the same. the two of them just kept licking him (ewww) and sitting on his lap. I'm convinced they knew he was ill. I also didn't initially want a dog and only relented because ds1 had been asking for so long, I wouldn't be without him now :) xxx

  • Cheers Sparky, Beanie and Lilt. I do apologise for the overshare! I think it was just lack of someone to talk to in the wee hours! DH has been ok today so we are just blaming his Mum's cooking for the smell, as he had tea there yesterday with the boys while I was at chub club :rotfl:.

Went to gym this morning for the first time since new owners took it over yesterday. Our old monthly membership doesn't run out until Friday so they honoured that, but I was devastated to learn that whilst I can still get in free as DH's carer, the price for DH has risen from £15 per month to £25 . I do appreciate £25 a month for both of us is still a good deal, but I'm not entirely sure we can stretch to it. Then again, it's really good for both of us so I should at least try to make it work, and it covers us for when we go swimming too.

I've had a house full for tea tonight after my sister did her usual teick of inviting herself round and then inviting everyone else too :D. Was lovely to have them all though. Mum also gave me £5 towards the cost of the meal I made.

Apparently there will be a voucher in tomorrow's sun newspaper which gets you £5 of fruit or veg in Mr M's. There is no minimum spend so you can literally just walk out with £5 of free fruit/veg (for 40p cost of paper). :T.
