They do come in all colours but the one I am offering is purple IYSWIM?

Sorry I am so floopy :rotfl: . I meant that the sleeping mats come in all sizes [edit: COLOURS... see.. floopy!], so your yoga mat being purple would not matter a bit!! The ones I linked to were blue, green and purple :)

Hope you got a better night's sleep last night Lucky. I was dreaming about missing the plane to go on holiday and been awake since 5am. Good luck with whittling down the list of stuff to buy - there's always something isn't there.

  • Thank you so much for all your replies and offers of help/loans everyone, it's much appreciated. Turns out my Mum has a mat!!! I didn't have a clue she had one, but she never uses it so it's been donated to DS1 :j. One thing off the list :T.

Had a really lovely day yesterday. DH's 'running friend' invited us to a last minute BBQ in the afternoon. We'd just had lunch so didn't have any food, but went for the company anyway. They had a bouncy castle up for the kids and they did egg and spoon races etc. Great fun.

Then we dropped the boys off with my Mum for a sleep over. She'd won on the bingo on her night out the night before and gave me a fiver to get a drink last night. This increased our budget by 50%!! The surprise party was an amazing success and as it was held in a social club it was super cheap. With neither DH or I drinking it was only £1.20 for 2 diet cokes. Think we had 5 rounds so £6 spent!! We'd collected a friend on the way and she gave DH £20 for her drinks, so that he could get hers too each time he went to the bar. At the end of the night he tried to give her her £10 change and she refused it, saying we should use it to put diesel in the car :A. So we actually went out for free and came back in profit!!

Just had salad from the buffet last night as I'd already had my tea before we went out. Feeling virtuous!

    Sounds like a super weekend!!

How lovely is your mum. Happy DS doesn't need a mat now!

I am also very good at going out with hardly any money and coming back better off (and half cocked usually). I once went to a wedding where my ex was the best man. I didn't have a penny with me as he had all the cash, was sat on a different table all night. I came home absolutely plastered from wayyyyy too many shots, jaegerbombs and the like with my best friend Mart (an usher)... And woke up still dressed at 6am, 2 hours after going to sleep, with a £20 note in my bra. Don't ask, because to this day I don't know. I assume someone gave it to me for drinks, but my bra was the only possible storage place. why it didn't get spent? Maybe I was given it just before being sick on a very posh racecourse?? The shame.

Glad you had a good time anyway. And you were VERY good. I am impressed, and the scales will be too!

    Hi Lucky, :hello:

Sounds like your family had a great weekend - making a profit on the kid-free night out must have been the icing on the cake, lol (so you didn't need to gorge on extra RL calories ;))! :T

Who indeed, except Chameleon? ..That was fascinating, btw; he curled up his long tail and kind-of sat back on it, front legs pawing the air like a tiny tyrannosaurus. With wide-open mouth hissing at CD [until I called her away], he seemed twice his usual size. He also turned bright fluorescent green with yellow stripes.. :cool2:
