Haaaa they say adrenalin gives you super powers. Must be why you're so super all of the time; permanent red alert!! Lol at not moving the bed in the morning though. My bed is so flimsy if I get in with a bit too much oomph I slide it across the floor. It's king size too

How fab you are at reducing costs. And brave at those kind of phone calls. I find if you do ring up and ask people are much more helpful than you give them credit for before you ring.

Hope your day has been uneventful! x

  • JAT your poor Mum . Not to mention you with your head stuck!!

Lilt you are right with the permanent red alert! I'm like the meerkat that stands guard listening and watching while all the others scratch around looking for worms :rotfl:.

So, busy day again. Took DH to get weighed this morning and he's lost 7lbs!!! He put 5 on last week so he was thrilled to take it back off and more. He's at his target weight again.
Afterwards we went to the school wear supplier to get DS1 a cooking apron for his new school in September. He is going on a visit there tomorrow and has to take an apron and something to bring his baking home in. I don't own an apron, so I thought 'why buy any old apron when I need to buy a school one for September anyway??'. Was a bit disappointed to find it was just a Royal Blue apron that didn't even have the school logo on, and I had to pay £5 for the privilege!! At least he has it now! Will have to go back there in the coming weeks to kit him out with the full uniform. That'll be a pretty penny . I also called in to the farm shop and spent £4.50 on eggs.

Then DH got tattooed!! He was back on planet Earth this morning so we felt he was well enough to keep the appointment (also we would have both been gutted to lose the deposit!). He is thrilled with it so far, but it's far from finished :(. He will just have to wait and save up for the rest. On the positive though, the tattooist is also a trained psych nurse and he has assisted in brain operations etc, so he was brilliant with DH and very interested in his story. He also competes in triathlons so DH was very interested in him too, and it was great to see him engage with someone other than those he is comfortable with.

Went to a Reception Class meeting for DS2 this afternoon. My baby is growing up fast!!

Got weighed tonight and I've lost 3lbs! Pleased with that but I was hoping for 5 so I'd get my 3 stone award! That'll have to be next week.

    Forgot to phone zoo :o.

Thanks everyone. I've spoken to DH this morning about it , and he explained what I already knew really. He has no knowledge of having a seizure, so when he 'found himself' lying on the floor he assumes he's just fallen out of bed. He thinks at that point that I just 'assume' a seizure has been the cause, rather than actually witnessing it. He isn't calling me a liar, he's just desperately hoping he's right and I'm wrong. Also, his brain is telling him that he is moving the left hand side of his body too, so he genuinely thinks I'm mad when I tell him it's not moving. Xx

    Helloooo Mrs Lucky! :D

Excuse me please for joining in, there is a dog-thing might be helpful to you when Mister is ill like this. It's hard to explain, but I has noticed that all you two-legged people are stuck inside your own heads - never possible to know for sure if other people are telling truth even when it's someone close who you trust.
But everyone knows a dog cannot be untruthful. ;)
If you had one in your family maybe Mister would not fall out of bed - dog would say when Mister needs medicine, and make sure he is in a safe place if getting ill. Also staying close to him when getting better - so Mister would know for sure he had been ill without being grumpy with you Mrs Lucky.

ps. Please can you ask zoo people if dogs is allowed in? I likes to visit other four-legged peoples from places I will never see.. :)

    Good luck with the zoo!

Hi Knit Witch! I rang the zoo and they admit Carers free, so instead of just over £50 for a family of 4, it will be £30 for DH and the boys with me free. It's still expensive, but a lot more affordable now :T.
    Hi lucky

Cheers Sparky! An old guy came up to me in the gym today to congratulate me on how much weight he's noticed I've lost :j. I was thrilled!

Well helloooo CD :D. Thank you for stopping by my humble diary! I do understand what you mean about how useful dogs can be and it's making more and more sense for us to let one adopt us. I will continue to give it much thought.

I'm afraid the naughty zoo people said no dogs allowed. Apparently some of the animals that live there get scared by dogs. They must be very silly!

Tickles behind the ear for you and love to Robin Xx

  • Been to gym this morning and then a playdate at a friend's house this afternoon. Not a NSD though as DH needed more nappy rash cream for his tattoo :rotfl:.

Epilepsy Nurse and Consultant have agreed that DH should increase his night time meds. They are worried that the high dose will make him drowsy so he's only to have that in the evening and stick to the same dose as now in the mornings. Hope it works!
