  • £14.10  I can't get over how expensive everything is!

Chimneys are a proper pain, even if the chimney looks covered there could be a gap elsewhere, birds can often get through surprisingly small gaps.

I bet you'll all sleep well tonight. xx

  • I know Elphaba, £14.10 . We normally go for less than £2 at a local council pool (DH free because of his benefits, me free as carer and DS2 free under 5, therefore just pay for DS1). It's a heck of a jump in price!! It had a massive benefit though in that DS2 could touch the ground in more than 50% of the pool though, and he loved his independence. We will go again but only as a rare treat.

Fly death toll yesterday was 17 behind the plastic sheet. DH unstuck the bottom of the plastic and got rid of the dead bodies before resealing it. This morning there is only one new carcass. Hopefully we are coming to the end of it now, though losing the sun for the last few days may have something to do with it too.

Today we are going to a farm activity centre using a Gr0upon deal I bought ages ago. £20 for a family of 4 to visit as many times as you like between now and November, so as long as we go twice or more it's worth it. It's not exactly sunny today, but according to the weather forecast it's going to be the only dry day this week :(.

I was asleep by 10pm last night, only woke twice for the loo and then DS2 got me up at 6.30am, so quite a good night for me really. You'd think I'd be refreshed but I'm still exhausted!!! Is it bedtime yet??!!

  • Oh great, DH has just woken up saying he feels sick and panicky :(. Thought something may be up because he slept in which is unusual for him.

And it's started raining. Rest of the country are having the hottest day of the year so far and we get rain.

Something tells me today won't go to plan :(

Swap you? ..I can't think of anything better right now, than a nice cool rain storm - even a shower would be appreciated!

  • Wowsers to the expensive kids treats! It's the same here for everything which is why we very rarely do anything like that :( !

I hope you feel more rested soon, you need to try and sneak some naps in as and when you can! Oh and we had a miserable start to the day yesterday but it brightened up by about 2pm. Thunder storms are headed our way for Wednesday, i've already got the headaches so can't wait for it to pass xx

Hello again :D I'm back!! ;) With lots to catch up on as usual!

Hope you're feeling good, and getting the rest you need. And you're eating for 2 now so any weight gain is perfectly acceptable.

 to the price of everything these days! Kinda does put a dampener on things when you add everything up, but a treat for now and again is well worth it.

    Trust DH is ok :)

  • Thanks everyone :A DH hasn't been 100% today, but has been much better than I thought he was going to be. He has since told me he took an extra 50mg epilepsy tablet (4 tablets rather than 3) this morning, as he was scared he might fit today. I don't agree with him self medicating but as long as he doesn't do it often and it helped give him reassurance then ok. I've asked him not to do it again without telling me first (if he remembers next time!) and I will mention this to the consultant when we eventually get to see him to see what they think.

We decided to go to the farm anyway and see how we got on. Whilst we were stuck in 40mins of roadwork tailbacks on the A1 it seemed we had made the wrong decision :(, however, when we got there the sun appeared. We ended up having a lovely day despite me being on edge about DH, and the boys had a fantastic time.
