Last week I dreamt that Mr F bought home 3 full grown black Labradors  He's always wanted a dog and I am definitely a cat person. I was so cross with him in my dream I swore in my sleep and woke him up :rotfl:

I wouldn't worry about it Lucky - if any of my dreams had come true I'd be on the Mortgage Free Roll of Honour by now!

Dreams are funny things aren't they, I often have silly dreams that make me unsettled the following day, (usually OH has done something bad in them and I find it hard to remember it was a dream and have to try not to be annoyed with him, :rotfl:). x

  • Started the day with £76, so the plan was to go Mr T's as the cupboards were bare, and spend no more than £50 on food and then put £20 diesel in. Horrendously, despite trying to be careful, the shopping came to £68 . Therefore, I only managed £5 diesel (was desperate so had to put something in!). Thank goodness the DLA is due tomorrow!

When I got home I scoured the receipt to see where I had gone wrong. This only proved how bl00dy expensive things are! However, it did highlight that the kids watering can that I agreed to DS2 getting because it was reduced to 50p, had gone through as £2.50 . I will take that back tomorrow when we go for more diesel. I normally check the receipt when I'm there and I'm annoyed I didn't this time.

DS1 brought £14 back from school today that I had sent in to pay for his milk next term, not realising I didn't have to pay :j. Every little helps!

Last Beavers tonight for 7 weeks :j:j:j:j Lol, I'll miss them really!

  • It's scary how fast things rack up. I try and be good and plan ahead on mysupermarket but then I pick up the odd 'bargain' or two [STRIKE]ten[/STRIKE] and am left praying the card goes through ok :o.

Do they do Double the Difference at your T store? I know they are supposed to do it everywhere but in my local Mr T the customer service staff act like I'm trying to steal their grandmas pension when I point it out so its rather put me off, I'm so not hardcore at this.

Well done on £14 too, every penny chips away at the debt, thats the attitude I'm trying to have rather than writing things off as not worth it. xx

I hate it when you check your receipt when you get back home and find you've been overcharged! Mr T's sent me some soggy spinach in my online grocery order last week and I had to fill in a right palaver of a form asking for all sorts of codes off the bag to get my £1 back! I had to fish about in my wheelie bin and open up bags of rubbish to find it the next day - the smell was awful as it was well off by then. They had sent me spinach with a use by date of 11 July in a delivery on the 8pm to 10pm slot of 10 July. How thoughtless is that! I thought I might get back more than just my £1 but no! And don't get me on the subject of food prices!

  • Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by. :D

I took the watering can back and they gave me back £2, saying they will "let me have it for 50p, but it really is priced at £2.50". I pointed out that if there are 8 identical watering cans on a shelf and the SEL says "watering cans reduced to 50p", it's an easy assumption to make that those 8 cans are 50p each, not that they had sold the 50p ones and some dim staff member had put other ones in the empty space without changing the SEL . Anyway, I got it for 50p which is I suppose what counts, but I was hoping for £4 back double the difference!

This afternoon has been DS1's sports day. The weather was perfect - 1st time in 3 years it hasn't been rained off!! It's gone a bit dull now but to be honest it's a relief as it's been baking hot.

    Fat class shortly :o:o:o

You got it for 50p that is all that matters - it is a VICTORY!

Sun addict I get the RAGE at the supermarkets - OH doesn't let us do an online shop because of it. I wrote a massive complaint letter to MR T once aswell, but got the stuff I complained about refunded!

When I got 5 yogurts that went out of date the following day, a rotten and mouldy aubergine (now surely the person picking this must have saw this?), 3 packets of meat that went out of date they day I received them!!!

We have not done an online shopping since! xxx
  • That's why I have NEVER done an online shop!! I always runnage at the back for best dates/freshest looking stuff and I don't trust a picker to do the same!! I'm sometimes tempted by the codes for £10 off a first shop etc, but then what's the point if half of it goes in the bin?!

Gained a pound at fat class  Not looking forward to telling the midwife what I weigh next week :o. At least I won the raffle though, so next week's class is free :j
