I know the potty training is difficult but honestly he will get it eventually. My DGD1 had real problems with it and missed starting school but you would never know by looking at her now. The bigger a thing you make it, the more it will stress you both out. Try to relax about it and let him find his own way, he truely will and probably quicker than you think

Happy hump day
Nappies outta sight outta mind?!Outta reach will hopefully be a good start anyway. But the less fuss made sometimes the better. Sometimes reassurance that if big boy pants do get wet that mummy won't be cross and it is ok coz they just get washed.

Morning
LOL @ your ds telling your DH about the cake!! I took ds2 to Mcdonalds last week and me and my friend spent 15 mins convincing him it was a secret that he mustn't tell anyone. ESPECIALLY his sister! Well all afternoon he kept saying to her 'i've got a secret hahahaha, and i'm not telling you, nenenene!' BRAT! LOL after an epic tantrum from DD he smugly told her that he'd been to the chip shop (mcdonalds) and that we had waited until she had gone to school so we could go without her!!! What a monster lol she came running down to tell me what he'd been saying to her all afternoon and I felt so guilty!
ref the potty training I know with DD she was wary of doing a number 2 in her potty (number 1's were fine?!) and would beg for a nappy and cry and scream. In the end I told her that the shop wouldn't sell me them anymore as she was such a big girl and she had to do all her toilet in the potty or the big toilet! We went shopping and chose some new knickers (even though she already had a load!) and she was ok after that. Both my boys were easy as ds1 was dry by 18 months and ds2 copied DD so it saved me making him do it lol! I know in our nursery they are happy to take kids that aren't dry yet and they spend time helping them to go to the toilet in there and coercing them into pants and out of nappies. Will your nursery take him if he's in nappys still?MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Thanks for that Granny! I suppose I'm too busy comparing DS2 to DS1 (who was dry day and night just after his 2nd birthday), that I haven't stopped to think that he isn't the only one who isn't dry by 3.5 yrs.
I hope you are Grannyx3 VERY soon!HeadAboveWater wrote: »Happy hump day

Thanks HAW, will keep talking to him about it. I think it's the physical letting go of his wee that scares him though Lord knows why!debtfreewannabe321 wrote: »Morning

Ooh little weed DS2 :rotfl:. I guess you owe DD a maccy D's then.
I honestly don't know how the nursery staff feel about nappies as it wasn't a question I had to ask with DS1. However, we have our visit there in 2 weeks so I shall ask then if I don't bump into one of them at school before then. XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

I know ds2 nursery take them in as did his old nursery so I wouldn't worry too much. Kids do it in their own time and no amount of coaxing from us will help lol xMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Hello Lucky
Just popping in to say good luck on the potty training. I have this all to come. I conveniently forget these things... but the tooth coming through sparked my mother telling me I would have to start brushing her 'teeth' now... Forgot that one! And here I am plotting child #2... I don't think I am ready! Hahaha.
I am one of those terrible women with not one but two tattoo's  - It's ok, you can call them tramp stamps. My mum does
One is on my inside left wrist & is written in elvish writing, just over an inch & a half in length. It's a secret what it says, but it is very pretty. The other is a quote from my favourite film, written up my inside right arm "Good luck exploring the infinite abyss" - it's a metaphor for life which just resonates with me for some reason. I like the idea that I am an explorer even when I am washing the pots!
Hope you have a nice evening. It is chucking it down with rain here and the sea fog is so heavy I can barely see outside to confirm that it is in fact rain!

Can't give you any advice on potty training as it's that long since my two were little I've more or less forgotten all about it! But I can say hope you are well today and things are running smoothly for once! Oh to have a boring non-eventful life (you and me both)!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Ive three kids ten years apart. The first was dry at 12 months the second was dry at 14 months and the last one loves his nappies.
It will happen when it happens, we just do a bit more every day. Same boat as you though, nursery is looming and we are not much closer. Bribery and corruption seems to be the way forward!!!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Evenin' all
.
Today is DH's birthday. We've had a lovely day - drinks and doughnuts at Kr1spy Kr3mefollowed by Fast and Furious 6 at the cinema which was fab :T. I got my fix of Vin Diesel and Paul Walker and at a bargain price too - had enough loyalty points for a free ticket
.
Then I had to go to work.
Thanks for all the support re toilet training DS2. Will try again in a few days but will be more prepared. We WILL get there eventually!
Lilt, your 'tramp stamps' sound great! My sister has 'Carpe Diem' in italics on her wrist which looks really pretty and a good message too!
Tomorrow is my 10th wedding anniversary. When we were on honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, we agreed to go back to our 6 star resort for our 10th anniversary. Oh well, Newcastle is nearly as nice :rotfl:.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
