  • Well done to your little man, I remember faffing with my DS with potty training, could you encourage him with a little reward if he manages a week
    in big boy pants.
  • Thank you Lilt, Granny and pwps. DS2 is in big boy pants again today (though keeps saying he misses his nappy!!), but he hasn't gone to the toilet yet despite being up from 6.30am.

I asked him to chose a present if he uses the toilet successfully all week and he wants a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle costume! So I've agreed to that IF he manages it!

    Cancun?? Count me in :D

And :T:T to DS2 and the big boy pants!! Did he miss them this morning?

Aw glad DH (and the rest of you!) had a good day yesterday! :D Park sounds class!!
OH got a text from DD3 after midnight on Saturday and it made him cry! Was really sweet :) He loved his 'Daddy cool' pint glass she got him too!!
We had OHs mum and dad round yesterday for dinner. It turned out really well but I am such a stress head! :o Later on the 5 of us headed out for cappuccinos/hot chocolates :D Good wee day!

Happy Monday! Day 3 of your salad diet then?! ;)

    EDIT:
We called out to visit my mum and dad on Saturday, just in case anyone thinks we forgot about them!! :o

  • DS2 just poo'd in his pants :(:(:( Not feeling so good about it all now.

HAW you are in for the trip to Cancun for sure :D. Glad you have had a good weekend with both sets of parents and OH enjoyed his day.

Still on the diet waggon. May still put weight on on tuesday after a naughty few days for DH's birthday and our anniversary, but hoping I've pulled it back or even lost a little.

I took that long in my original post that I hadn't realised we cross-posted - sorry!! :o

DS2 will get there. One step at a time. Count to 10. Deep breath. No biggie. They can be washed. Breathe out. Aaaaaah that's better :)

Fingers crossed for the weigh in tomorrow :)

Ah Lucky I do sympathise! He is testing you with this. You need to show him who is the boss. Punishing him obviously isn't going to help, he is only a small boy after all. But if it was me (oh and it will be soon :() I'd just keep putting clean pair of pants after clean pair of pants on him until he realised the nappies were gone for good.

Instead of buying pull-ups for overnight, could you buy some dry-nites nappies? They are much thinner & feel more like pants. Also, them saying 'nites' might help you to explain to him they are only night time nappies for just in case accidents happen & aren't for actually going to the toilet in, just like pants?

Sorry if you're fed up of all the advice. It must be very hard. DD had her nappy off when she had a really sore bum & she pooed on my rug & followed it up with a wee on the laminate seconds later. I didn't catch it in time before she had put her foot in all of it *barf*...

Hugs, stay strong!! Maybe a ninja turtle constume next week... :rotfl:

  • ds2 did that many a time in the early days ;) i just ignored it, cleaned him up and sent him on his way. Paid no attention to it, after he did it to me 4 times (proper testing me!) he suddenly started asking for the potty :T i won! Yay lol. So keep at it he'll get there. Bribes are most definitely the way forward~! Ninja turtles wear big boy pants not nappies (that is what i'd be telling him constantly haha) xx

Ditto . I suppose at least I can be thankful he didn't step in it urgh. However it still made me retch even though it doesn't bother me in his nappy! Odd!

No more accidents so far and a successful wee in the loo :j I totally agree re dry-nites, once the nappies I have are finished (I only have 3 or 4) I will move on to those.

I didn't make a fuss when he poo'd earlier, though DS2 kept saying sorry bless him. I don't want to make him scared to go or anything, but I'll be mighty pleased when he manages the first one on the loo!
