  • Hi SA, I like to aim high :D. I aimed for 2 stone (28lbs) over the last 12 weeks and I got a stone and a half (21lbs) which I was thrilled with. With the gain tonight that has now reduced to 17.5lbs. If I aim for another 28lbs in the next 2 weeks and get 21lbs again I'll be over the moon. The next 12 weeks includes our little caravan holiday though which may throw a spanner in the works, but it ends when the kids break up for summer so hopefully that will be optimum shorts weather! Xx

Wow you have done so well - I'm impressed!! Having said that I've just lost 7lbs in 2 weeks no effort required just worry - don't recommend it however!!!
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • No Hun, certainly not!! Been there, done that, didn't take advantage of it and piled it all back on again :(. Like I said on your diary, you have to look after yourself too. Glad OH is settled on his new ward Xx

  • Sometimes you need a break dfw for it to start shift again. I know when I lost 5 stone last time (years ago!), it took as long to lose the last stone as it did to lose the first 4 altogether!!!

Good luck at the gym tomorrow Xx

    Really? Oh woe is me.

Five stone/32kg is a helluv'an achievement - as is a kilo a week which is what you're going for now (have I converted correctly?). That gym membership is certainly worth the investment. :)

Glad you had a nice time at the wedding. Don't worry about the weight gain, I bet it will come off fairly quickly next week.

I do that with 3 for 2 offers too, OH thinks I'm mad and doesn't understand what I'm up to.

  • Yes Robin I believe your maths are correct! We've been to the gym again today as DS2 started back at playgroup this afternoon. It's his first full day tomorrow . But he now goes for free :j It's a good job really as I don't know how I would have paid this week :o. I spent £30 on food shopping today, and £5 on fat club yesterday so we now have £40 til Friday. Definitely do-able.

DH hasn't been great since we got home this afternoon and is currently lying down. He says he keeps feeling waves of sickness/fear. I caught him 'chewing' as well and he hadn't realised. All signs point towards to possibility of a seizure so I've got everything crossed I'm wrong.

Had a lovely email from gas/electric supplier saying as we have had a particularly cold winter and they are a responsible company, they are going to very kindly let me pay an extra £35 this month to ensure I don't fall behind in my payments . This is just after they hiked my normal direct debit amount up by £30 last month too. Or I could opt out of their kind offer. I opted out! Then I called them to see when I was tied in until and unfortunately it's September. I'll be looking to switch then.

By accident, I clicked on the first page of this diary instead of the last and discovered it's a year today since I started it!! I'm mighty glad I did! You lot have helped me through some tough times and I hope one day we get to meet in RL so I can thank you properly Xx

    Happy diary anniversary x

Hope DH symptoms don't turn out to be anything sinister.

I would have opted out of that "KIND" offer too :D
