  • Bit of a weird day! DS2 up at 6am again -cheers son! - and when DH got up at about 7.30am he managed to take his night time tablets by mistake . These are the ones for his depression but also to help him sleep, so I thought he'd either spend the day asleep or ultra happy. No such luck. What I actually got was a seething ball of exploding fury :(. Don't quite know how that works, but it certainly wiped out any excitement from having a good weekend.

High point of the day though was at Beavers when they all were devastated to hear we are off for the next 2 weeks. Cheered me up to know how much they enjoy it :D

  • So I'm reading the James Cracknell book 'Touching distance' and the accounts by his wife after his Brain Injury are chilling. I could've written them, so similar to my experience with DH. And then I read 'Seventy-five percent of people who have a brain injury get divorced'

Hope OH has a better day today and that DS didn't get you up at silly o'clock.

Don't worry about things written in books as if things went well every day they probably wouldn't have anything to write about, so its obvious you are not going to read about the good stories.

You are doing the best you can for you family and that's what matters.

Really pleased that you now feel confident enough to wear the top you had for your birthday. You are doing amazingly well.

Pleased to hear that the Badgers were disappointed not to be seeing you for 2 weeks. It's really nice to feel appreciated and you soooo deserve it.

  • we all have good and bad days and it must be tough to deal with a bad day particularly on top of a couple of good couple of days.

Hope your home is happier now. x

  • DS2 had a lie in until 7am :D DS1 was a nightmare this morning before school though and has been threatened with Boarding School!!

MIL looked after DS2 this morning so we could go to the gym. DH got weighed today and has gained 3lbs!!! Seems he thought he could celebrate getting to his target weight last week by cheating all week and was most disappointed when the scales said otherwise! So emergency gym visit was required!! I get weighed later and I'm hoping for another decent loss.

Think I might re do the snowball this afternoon to see if we are still on track.

  • Haven't managed it yet SBO, DH has had a bit of a wobbler. He has been a bit (LOT!) panicked and confused and saying he's worried he's going to have a seizure :(. He kept saying he'd been feeling like that for hours but it could only have been 10 minutes max, so I played it right down. I told him it's only because he took the wrong tablets yesterday morning and he needs to just keep calm and ride it out. Then I basically ignored him for a while!:o He seems ok now but is having a lie down. Fingers crossed he feels better when he gets up again in a bit.

I thinks it's me that needs a lie down. In a darkened room. Or maybe in a nice comfy padded cell :rotfl:

A lie down in a darkened room with a glass of wine, chocolates and maybe a scented candle and very soft music playing whilst you driftaway in calm contentment... Dont spill the wine.
