I'm doing slimming world Dragon, but as I'm vegetarian I only do green days. DH is following their extra easy plan which basically just means I add meat or fish to his portion of whatever I make!

I've lost 5 stone before with slimming world so I know it works, but unfortunately gained it all back over a few years. It's good to see it coming off again and I'm starting to get compliments so it's obviously noticeable :D Xx

  • Thank you HAW :o. I just realised that I can't count and I'm actually 2lbs ahead of DH :j Even better :rotfl:. Been to gym again today as I now have to average 2.5lbs over the next 4 weigh ins to reach my 2 stone goal by the first wedding. Pulling out all the stops!

Talking of the first wedding, it's the stag do on Friday which DH is going to. I'm nervous about this as he will be out from 4pm until around midnight and he only knows 2 of the 30 guys attending! The stag do is a bit different as the groom (DH's friend from school) is a bit of a comic book geek and they are watching a film in a private screening amongst other things. I'm not worried about DH drinking because I know he wont, but I'm worried that they won't get anything to eat and just go straight from the cinema to the bar. DH needs to eat or a seizure will be more likely. I'm also worried that the other guys will all get too drunk to 'look after' DH. I'm hoping that I'm over reacting though and all will be fine. Feels more like I'm sending my little boy out than my Husband :(

Well done on your weight loss!! :D

I have gained agin. I was doing SW online but cancelled and have half heartedly tried going it alone. Your progress has encouraged me to get my books and magazines out and give it another go.

  • Good for you!!! I know you can hit target! I have every faith in you :D

Your hubby will be fine! :) You're just genuinely concerned which is understandable. I assume you know the others going out pretty well? Maybe have a quick word just for them to keep an eye on OH just to put your mind at rest. Providing OH won't think you're interfering if you did do that!

  • I'm throwing as far as I can NL :D.

I definitely think making recipes etc is the way to go Pooh! I know it's hard sometimes on a budget but you get bored of the same things over and over. Good luck for a loss this week.

Thanks for that HAW. The only one I know properly is the groom, so that's what makes me nervous. DH is going to make sure the groom has my mobile number incase anything goes wrong, but what if the groom is in too much of a state himself?? I wouldn't have batted an eyelid if DH's best mate had been going, but unfortunately he and the groom don't know each other (DH's best mate is 48 next week so they didn't grow up together with DH being 34). I want it all to go well obviously, but it feels like we are taking a very big step .

In other news, I took the silver to the jewellers and got £20 for it :D. Not bad for a few odds and ends and even better that they weren't even mine to start with! My sister had given me a tangled mass of old necklaces and odd earrings etc so I sat and unpicked everything and took out what I wanted to keep before selling the rest. Feel slightly guilty about the next bit, but I actually then paid her the £20 off what I still owe her :o. Infact, I felt so guilty I put another £5 to it and actually paid her £25, so at least some of it was actually from me :rotfl:.
