  • Hi Joanne did you really spend 2 days of your life reading my diary??!! You do know you won't ever get that time back don't you :rotfl:. Seriously though, lovely of you to drop by and yes the MSE crowd are a fab bunch. It's so easy to just be yourself on here and get any support needed. I'm glad you found subscribe, please stick around! I don't know about being Superwoman though, I don't recall ever wearing my pants on top of my trousers before (I'd be too ashamed, the state of them :o). I may admit to forgetting to put them on when I've been in a rush before though . Xx

  • DS1 was delivered back from the sleepover at 11.30am, looking white as a sheet after they stayed awake til 2am this morning! He's been in a foul mood all day so I sent him off to bed at 7pm and he's been flat out since! DH has also been  all day and it had me wishing I could run away and be on my own for a bit!! I'm chilling out now watching the delicious Vin Diesel and Paul Walker on the tv though, and all is right with the world again :D

Anyway, we went down to the coast today and met the usual suspects for coffee, which was nice in spite of everyone's mood. We then went on to the beach as it was such a lovely day for February. That strange yellow blob could even be seen in the sky!!! It was still fresh though and it blew the cobwebs away.

    Hi PLMBL

Maybe DH was missing DS1 more than he knew?

Just a thought, but have you or one of the family got a kite, that DH and the DS's can fly on the beach on glorious days like today? It would expend quite a lot of their energy, whilst you had a bit of a gossip with your lovely granny.

    Hugs x
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • I did spend 2 days yes (but 2 days well spent I feel) :-) lol I couldn't stop reading. I had to force myself to stop this morning and get dressed :-/ ha! It was very nearly a pj day, but did get dressed in the end and went out and played with my little boy. Glad you had a nice day to. I was determined to get to the end, to see your luck change..seriously something big has to happen for you...it has to :-) I will certainly stick around,it's inspiring reading. It brought out many emotions..tears..laughter..anger. My self and my sister keep saying about coming that way..or at least I think it is, we want to see where my mum grew up..it's Stanley I believe ? One day.. Anyway I will no doubt speak to you soon...enjoy vin diesel :-D x

  • Robin the sun is meant to get out again today (!!!) so we are off to a kids farm activity centre to make the most of it. Also, I forgot to mention that on Saturday we got DH a cycle helmet. Slightly off topic, but I knew you would approve!

Satchmo, I think you could be right about DH's mood being due to the 'worry' of DS1 staying out. He tends to get wound up over 'nothing', but the problem is that there was 'something', he just can't remember what it was :(. The kite idea is a good one. Yesterday my Grandma bought the boys a bucket/spade/ball set so we played with those.

Joanne, yes Stanley is in County Durham so not too far away. I agree it's nice to see where parents grew up. My Mum was born a Geordie so I'm very familiar with her childhood place! Dad was born in Solihull (never been there), but moved to Edinburgh when he was still very wee so I always feel close to him when we go there. I hope you are right about my luck changing!!
