Hi PLMBL...and lucky is the word!! This is FAB FAB news..a new bike AND the CA! great. I am so pleased and its only what you deserve! You deserve the 'luck' if you like as you have had so many rocks along the road.
Using the bike for short journeys will really make a difference to your health/help lose any weight. And best of all it's free!!
I love it when the government get things right in the benefits front...it's so often not the case!
Have a great day

Great news re the bike, just think once you are a Mountain Biker you could also enter into the amazing world of Mankinis and very fetching thermal headgear a la Mr PG. Oh and he sits next to me on his ipad showing me posh wheels, tyres, saddles and bikes worth thousand and thousands of pounds. It purely in the name of research apparently.....he doesnt really want any of these things !!LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Happy valentines Day everyone
. In the spirit of MSE, DH and I have exchanged cards (from the cheap card shop
) but not gifts. However, DH actually had to buy 2 cards because he forgot where he had put the first one bless him!!! Hopefully he will find the original card before next year and he can use it then :rotfl:.
Granny thank you so much for including me in your hugfest last night. You may of course have this hug!!
PG I would not inflict the world with the sight of me in a mankini :rotfl: or for that matter a bikini, tankini or any other kind of kini. However, thanks to our now frequent gym visits there may be a day when the thought of a swimsuit does not make me recoil in horror!!
So a wonderful surprise in the bank account this morning - £499 of backdated CA :j:j. I rang the benefits line to ask what the different scenarios would be if I gave up my 10 hours per week, but was told someone more knowledgeable had to call me back within the next 24 hours. Fingers crossed it's this afternoon.
At work later, 5-9pm, but if nothing else changes today will be a NSD. Making a new slimming world recipe for tea - mushy pea curry!!!! I've been assured it's delicious and much better than it sounds :rotfl:.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Well that was quick!! Just had a call from a lovely girl at the benefits centre who said that at the minute, our benefits are not affected by the CA, as they already deduct all my wages bar £20 from DH's ESA, therefore we will be £20 a week worse off if I give up work completely. However, I asked the question that if all I earned was £20, would I still keep that and she said yes. So I'm going to see my boss about reducing my hours to just 3 per week which would be £19.50. If she doesn't like that then I will just leave altogether. XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

That sounds like a really good idea to me and I hope it works as that would still provide you with an out now and then. Happy Valentine's day to you too xTargets

Wow Lucky - get you. Look at all the weight you've lost, I am so very impressed, that is fantastic. I bet you feel so much better now that you have got the CA sorted out, you can now concentrate on getting DH better.
Oh things are really looking up for you and I couldn't be more pleased.0 -
