Make both purchases at the self scan. I have had this happen a few times at the smaller slappers. I was waiting at the main checkout where no one was sat and got asked to do the self scan. I phoned GR the first time this happened and he said just make it clear in the report. HTH.

@MSKITTEN: I would not waste money on an accountant. I actually *love* doing my books. It's so much fun. Having said that, I am a trained accountant.

I would do, it's a doddle. And of course it would be, but I doubt I would pinch other people's work. At the moment, I just mystery shop like 2 days a month, I stack them all up and do them all on 1 day instead of doing 1 or 2 every other day. I've found RE/MF to be really hospitable with their dates.

Yeh I do the same thing, it's easier when you have quite a lot of calls together in the same area and can arrange them for the same day. ABAI is actually good for letting you do this too if you call them xx

I only quoted part of Jen's post for brevity - but what I meant was that I do not agree that you put in the same effort for £1- £10 - or £100. In fact I think it would be silly to do so.
At the moment some of the MS companies are cutting fees, pinching clients from the better paying ones - and if people do the same quality and quantity of work for much less money we will all be worse off.

The real answer to the problem is don't take the work in the first place. If the fee does not warrant 100% then don't do it.

I agree with you to a point on this one BUN. Are you telling me you'd go out of your way to help on the minimum you'd do a job for as you would for a company paying you 10 times more for the same job? Do you not think that inherantly you would end up putting that extra bit in for the much more substantial fee requiring a similar amount of work.

Company A asks you to do a job for the £5 and come back with a couple of detailed additional questions on topics not expressly covered in the brief that'll take you about 20 mins to sort out. Company B do the same on a £50 fee for the same assignment and ask you those additional questions. Would you seek extra payment from one or both for this information and would you look for more from one or the other? I know what I'd be inclined to do.
