And they'll stay until they put a decent fee on them...we hope.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Depends, as I understand it if it was a best before it's no problem being after the date as it's just a guideline. A sell by date item must not be sold after the date.

It's normal for the TNS supermarket to sell products that have passed their best before date. I've seen products like this in numerous stores of theirs. Doubt putting it in the report will make any difference.

That's why I always double check dates before I buy. :p

Hi, I just wondered if anyone could help. I am trying to complete the Retail Maxim questionaire to become a mystery shopper. The questions are straightforward but it is saying I haven't answered correctly. No matter what changes I make I am getting the same result. Has anyone else had this problem and could offer some advice? Many thanks.

  • Hi, I was wondering if anyone is still getting jobs from IMS, specifically in Scotland. I used to do loads of jobs for them, then weeks ago got an email that said things were changing. Then I was offered a full time employed job with a sister company, which I turned down. Since then nothing, nil, zilch! Has this happened to anyone else.

    thanks for any help.

I had an email from them today with the subject, 'Mystery shopping visits available in your area' clicked on the email and none of the jobs are even remotely close to me.

    I'm doing them all, hahahaha....

No, seriously they lost their cheap supermarket and I think they are on the verge of losing their DIY one too. The lack of bank promos to do means jobs up here have dried up.

Ive not seen anything on ims since the lottery campaign and the supermarket count, think i had one bank pop up that someone else had taken that was it. shame as i was picking up quite a bit from the, think they are making their employed staff do them to keep them busy when quiet on other stuff ?

They recently had quite a few alcoholic ones on. It's a specific brand normally referred to as wife beater (sorry, I don't drink but I have heard a few people call it that, not sure why though).

It helps to log in just before 7am and just before 7pm and you normally see a few bits and pieces.

Hi, I can't really say anything about what you have specifically said, but IMS are a horrible company comprised of mostly vile, awful people, so consider yourself better off let down now rather than later! Sorry!

As for my earlier topic of discussion, I can't actually remember if the pasta pots had a 'best before' or 'sell by' date :o I will have a closer look on my next visit to the store. But either way, they are usually 'yellow-stickered' the day before, if not the date itself - heck, I bagged myself 600g of casserole steak on Saturday, with a display date of Sunday and a use-by date if Monday, and it was only about 50p! Although I wonder if an employee labelled it with hopes of snagging it for themselves :p In any case, thanks TNS client, the casserole was gorgeous! :D
