I think journalism is a different ball game as they are usually paid to review something and not just doing it for a free item.
eg car reviewers will write a review of a car having had it for a (short )while they do not pay tax on the benefit of having that car but on the the income they receive in doing so.
Holiday reviewers generally are not doing it for the holiday, they may also review sun tan lotion an other things at the same time, and in all these cases they are generally given the items to trial by the manufacture or service provider rather than having to pay to experience them and claim it back from their company and, get paid for then reviewing the items. Without the item they could not get paid for reviewing it.
With jobs that are mystery shopping reimbursement only jobs where you have to pay and claim back the cost, there is no benefit to doing it other than the meal itself and its difficult to argue that you receive any direct benefit from doing that, other than the meal itself, therefore that is liable for taxation, in my opinion0 -

Im trying to work out if its linked to the tns email leak or random.
it states they got my details from a particular person - some one ive never heard of any how ..
someone is passing on details any how. It has my full first and surname though, and I dont use that one anything other than TNS...
the email ends with:
"This email is an advertisement from ... because you have registered with one or more mystery shopping companies."
Sentry do not have any clients in the UK. When I asked them why they had mass e mailed UK shoppers, the response was "It was a mistake."
So there you go.Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0 -
Did anyone else do the new GR phone shop today, the one where you get a purchase reimbursement too? The computer system was not working and I could not get the top up. Was well !!!!!! off. First time I have done a purchase phone shop visit and I couldn't purchase anything. Guess I will just get the fee now!

I have had my pay from ESA this month, if it has left your jobs and isn't in your pay statement beneath it I'd give them a call and find out.0 -

Thankfully even though they said there was a problem trying to put through top ups they managed to do the 2 items separate for me. Was a bit of a pain but it made me think they might be aware of the ms now because they did try very hard and photocopied about 3 things after the order was complete lol :eek:0 -

Well done you. I'm hoping I will get the fee and the reimbursement even though I didn't actually buy anything. They paid reimbursement for the slapper competitors that did not have a boozey section.
How quick was the report! It's by far one of the easiest ones I have done in a long time for GR! Well done to them.0
