I have a REACT cinema to do this weekend, and I want to watch Spiderman 3D. I've just checked the brief and it says I can't do a 3D film as it will be over the reimbursement. Does this mean I definitely can't do a 3D film, even if I am happy to not get reimbursed the full amount? There's nothing else I want to see and it's quite a way so not worth it to see something I'm not interested in.

Has anyone seen a 3D film and it been ok?

I assume they won't be around tomorrow for me to call?

Send Ted an email, I don't think the bloke rests, he'll be around in the morning for sure.

Spiderman is also shown in standard format. Just watch that one instead.

I asked Ted about this exact problem last month (except I wanted to see Men In Black 3) and unfortunately you cannot go to a 3D film at all - apparently this is a client specification.

nope unless you use a self checkout

as long as you had no intent to conceal and not pay for an item at the till and the staff member made a mistake
it could not be counted as legally wrong to walk out with it

    morally perhaps
but it usually makes up for all the times shops overcharge/doublecharge people!

Also if you buy for example a couple of Pink Lady apples (£3/kg) and put them through as Braeburn (c£1.80/kg) that is partial theft as you paid for it, but not the full price. Buying 320g of PL costs 96p and 320g of B cost 58p - so you have caused 38p of loss to the store.

I work for a supermarket and catch several customers doing this and void it off and put it through the correct price - their faces are a picture!

Just reading the BARE/computer brief and now realise why the fee is so much!

You have to answer 8/10 questions for EVERY computer in the store!! Having been in my local yesterday I think that's at least 50 machines!

Obviously there is no way anyone could possibly memorise all of this, so you'll need to either take a notepad with you or take a photo of each one and check it properly when you get home... surely either way you are going to get rumbled! Photos are probably the more subtle option, but it's going to be hard work on ones that people are using/being shown!

    Anyone got any other ideas?

I would use the record button on my phone and verbally speak the required information into it. When I got home I would download the recording onto my computer, slow it down and key in the information while it is playing.

I have done this loads of times. As the staff think you are on your phone, they usually leave you alone. I try to be subtle, so they don't hear what I'm saying.

    HTH.
