I am glad somebody brought this up. I qued for 6 and a half hours at the glasgow secc for tickets. I stupidly thought i would have a chance of a good seat i did get one which is up the back due to people buying 6 tickets each to sell on. For a start there was a guy and girl in front of us who were not really chatting like the rest of us and when they got to the window the couple went there separate ways and bought 6 tickets each! There were 3 of us and we bought a total of 3 tickets. I saw 2 tickets on ebay for glasgow someone said there friends cant go, it is in bloody november!! how's life is that planned out! So on ebay they were and i saw it with 7 hrs to go and it was at £560! I think it should be 2 tickets per person, you only need one for yourself and a friend, if you want more, more people que with you!! I am MAD, also 3 dates for the whole of scotland A JOKE!  :mad:0

I've sold loads of things on ebay with a 500% profit...Zagu wrote:No, its nothing like it, unless you have a remarkable skill of being able to make 1,000% on anything you buy. Firstly, theres an emotional attachment. Touts know that people will pay a fortune to see their bands. Secondly, theres a time factor. Most people have to work, but because the touts hoover up all the tickets, they have no chance of getting them when they get home. If the touts didnt deprive people of the chance of getting their tickets, they might still be able to get them from the authorised outlet. In fact I cant see any similarity between event tickets and normal goods. Everything is different, and if you dont think it is, go and buy something from the shop for £45 and sell it again for £500. Then I might believe you.
Yes, the "Must not be resold" condition. I realise that its only a civil matter, but Im sick of touts saying "Oh, we're doing nothing wrong." Yes, you are.
It wont. Gladstonbury are taking a lead because they have a better opportunity to do so. Others will follow, hopefull with the assistance of a law to stamp out scalping.
A system will be implimented, and once it is, it wont cost a considerable amount more. Theres enormous pressure from both bands and tour organisers to do it, and hopefully it will happen soon so we can stamp out these vultures. All that needs to happen is an ID matching system and for the law to stop the selling of tickets on Ebay. If you cant go, you send the ticket back for a full refund. The new Arsenal stadium is already using something similar I believe, so the foundation has been laid.0
